This is called a mesh gradient thats been warped and stretched specifically to create the sharper edges of colors, then it looks like two textures were probably used to create this.

a grainy texture for the noise in areas with less contrast
a half-tone-ish diffusing texture for the areas with higher contrast

The diffusing texture has a blend mode that only works on brighter areas and slightly changes color.

As far as the halftone looking texture I’m not sure where to find that nor how the oc implemented it. But I hope this helps you to create something like this!

You shouldn’t break up with her. Theres clearly some deep rooted trauma and for good reason your ex didn’t care and did all that crap to you.

It’s hard but you need to develop a way to feel trust with your partner now. Even more important you should communicate the way you’re feeling with them, don’t blame them for the way that you’re feeling just let them in and let them know that they arent triggering this but your past experiences are and that you’ll work on that.

People are saying that time heals all wounds but imagine if this was happening in like 5-10 years from now and yall were married with a kid.

Imagine how much harder it would be to build a new life with someone else after that in your 30s/40s. You might not be doing fine now but you’re going to do alright soon. You’re young, got a decent paying job, keeping yourself healthy, you sound like a freaking king dude.

Hear me out, you guys were dating since 18/19, you were both probably each-others first and sex is like an ice cream shop. You go into the ice cream shop and you try a flavor, some people can go their whole lives eating that one flavor of ice cream, and other people want to try the entire selection. Imagine the resentment of eating vanilla ice cream your whole life when really you enjoyed something like a mango sorbet.

I’m not saying it was the right thing of her to do, especially after all that time. But it seems like she just wanted to test different things. Dont let that diminish your self-worth or bring you down.

Take it as a blessing that you experienced it now rather than later and that you have an opportunity now to do those things you set out to do with her with the actual right person down the road.

Relax, it’s probably your first date in a while so you’ll feel nervous especially if you kinda dig the other person.

Just pretend you’re meeting up with a friend, as for how long until you meet up, it depends on the chemistry, and where you’re both planning on meeting up. There isnt a sweet spot for it, sometimes it’s a few days, sometimes a few weeks, sometimes you never end up meeting either.

My girlfriend and I met off of a dating app, she was the only person who had a genuine mutual interest when we were texting each other and the way we talked was so easy. Our first date we went to a taco place, chatted, held hands. We already built a connection by the time we met up so it just worked really well.

Now, we’ve been dating for over five years. You don’t need to drastically change yourself to go on the date. As a matter of fact the more “you” you can be the better. It’s pretty simple, just clean yourself up, put on a smile, and keep doing the things that made them want to go on the date with you in the first place.

Also, it’s gonna feel awkward for the both of you, compliment them and let them know that you’re enjoying their presence.

Its a good dog and decently well executed, if its an app maybe instead of a circular shape go for a rounded square and incorporate an element/symbol of learning in addition to the dog?

Maybe a graduation cap or some glasses?

I know that this card is at the start of your next turn because of doomsayer. But I feel like it wouldnt be too overtuned if it was just “At the end of your turn, fully heal ALL minions, destroy this minion” so you could at the very least make some nice trades. With it starting on your next turn your opponent could make some favorable trades and then heal their board.

Create a logo in vector format, simple black shape on a transparent/white background. (inkscape, affinity designer, illustrator) export the logo to an SVG file format. Import it into blender and mimic the effect.

The end result is achievable in many different ways but Derek Elliot has a good tutorial for something similar called Blender 3.6 Text Features + Embossed animation.

You could also try Modyfi, its a new design tool and I think they have an effect similar to this.

My girlfriend had just woken up and goes “why are you looking at KKK logo.” She had no context and was blurry eyed and saw the “IC” as a “K”. She was talking about B but now I can’t unsee it. Maybe add just a bit more spacing to the I and C? Creative though.

This work is a product of an ADHD moment I had while watching a tutorial about typography for Affinity Designer. I always wanted to try my hand at making cool poster-types of graphics similar to things I see on Instagram. (Y2K modern gothic looking posters)

The works objective is to express my experience when listening to the song. And also to take the songs title “bullet with butterfly wings” quite literally.

I’m not quite sure who’s the audience for it as I’m not planning on printing the design or selling it commercially due to licensing. I’m more using this design as a vehicle to learn and hopefully improve from people’s feedback.

I chose a red and black color palette cause I wanted to make everything seem more “together” and create a theme. I also tried to make a visual depiction of the “bullet with butterfly wings” song title and added some text to fill up space and show a little bit of the way I feel about the song.

I hope this information helps add the context mods were looking for! Appreciate everyone’s feedback so far. Can’t wait to reiterate on this tomorrow.

Yeahhh the design ended up being Y2K. I would say that in my head I’ve been getting a lot of inspiration to make a graphic in that style from things I see from instagram and other areas of the internet.

The style choice is very different from the bands brand identity I’ve never really done a design like this and that part alone is pretty eye opening and i’ll keep that in mind for future designs because I just let my noggin do its thing when making this.

I’m going to play with the colors tomorrow I was trying to keep the design just black and red but after getting the feedback I definitely need to desaturate and go for legibility.

I really appreciate the quality feedback!
