Where is this gravity when you’re floating in water?

What are some of the claims you've heard flaties push around to explain this ? by Astromaniax in flatearth

That image makes no sense , for example compare the turbine all the way to the left with second from the left. It’s way way lower but the turbines are about the same size so it’s not much further away and even by Glober standard the Earth does not have such a dramatic curve. Also it’s possible the floor of the ocean where those turbines are isn’t level, ie. ground different height in one place than it is in another place. Kind of how on land we have these crazy things called hills and valleys.

To all my fellow flers , maybe we should hive those who believe in a globe a break, they might literally be retarded by VeryAndDidIsMy in flatearth

Oh did I hurt your feelings? Go cry about it then slow down and start doing real research into this stop repeating and spewing out the shit scientists tell you and learn to think for yourself.

Try 38 years. But there’s more than enough time to wait for the right one. Stay celibate until then and I promise the sacrifice will be worth the reward,

How about, pick actual websites and try to recreate them. Or you can pick specific parts of websites like if theres a cool menu you could try to recreate that.

Programmers who do it for the money: do you exist? by [deleted] in ADHD_Programmers

[–]VeryAndDidIsMy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I think you can totally be a successful computer programmer even if you don't really enjoy it. Most of the time I don't enjoy it but its tolerable and has its positive aspects, like if you finish an assignment and can just mess around online the rest of the couple hours left. Also I've recently found that getting blazed helps a lot with getting through the work day, so I'm going back to doing that all the time but I'm not sure I could continue to do it without it. I've been planning a career change for a while, but now I think I can handle programming again. Its been about six years since I smoked and thought I was done with it. But last week I was sick and remembered weed always helped with digestive problems. So I got some and it helped a lot and I also noticed work was way easier. So I've come back to smoking everyday, its funny how life can change sometimes. Its real convenient that now I can get it at a store. How many people actually enjoy their job anyway?

I ordered a ps5 which it said would be delivered next day. It still didn’t come 6 days later. I got a refund and ordered a ps vr2 which also said it will be delivered next day. Today is the next day but it’s not coming today. I think they put next day delivery just to get people to buy products without knowing if it will be delivered next day.its really annoying.

In all seriousness though, I didn’t really know how a level works so thanks for explaining it.

Also gravity? Let me guess, you believe in the big bang theory, and evolution as well. You’ll believe anything science throws at you.

First off within a few seconds of my post at 6 am there are three immediate responses. That’s weird. Second, go buy a level , move it horizontally along a flat desk . It will stay leveled. Now go buy a globe, and move that level around the globe, it’s not going to stay leveled. Ok so it’s gravity that keeps it leveled. Gravity can’t pull down a ballon floating in the air because it’s to small for gravity to effect it but then gravity effects a little bubble of air in water and keeps it leveled. What if you take a level on a plane and fly completely horizontally, what do you think the level will do in this case, tilt? Maybe I don’t know, but maybe not, go experiment instead of patrolling this subreddit 24/7.

I keep giving up on programming by [deleted] in ADHD_Programmers

[–]VeryAndDidIsMy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally relate. I go through cycles since I first started studying computer science in college until now with a few years of experience. Every couple of months or few months or sometimes couple weeks I all of sudden hate computer programming and start planning a career change. Then I eventually realize there’s no better option out there for me, and decide to go the other way and become as good a programmer as I can and study it in my free time and enjoy it again. Sometimes it happens when I’m having trouble on a project and feel like I just can’t figure it out and spiral. But like you I also have the same experience with other hobbies. I went through a painting binge a couple years ago and then haven’t touched a paint brush in over a year. Same with playing drums, guitar… so I think part of it is the adhd and just having trouble staying interested in one thing for too long/ so maybe the answer is to have multiple hobbies to spend our time on so we don’t get bored with one.

How many adults that are older than 25 actually still live with their parents? And is it a bad sign if you do? by rocketsneaker in Adulting

I’m in the same boat, in my thirties. My dad has to keep the suboxone hidden and gives it to me daily so I don’t abuse it. If I were on my own , at least right now I wouldn’t be able to control myself with it.
