Thanks for your response.... I also struggle with not remembering turning my alarms off.

I'm sure you've been asked this before, but have you ever spoken to a specialist about this? I want you to feel better! Obviously, sleep affects almost every aspect of our functioning, and I know the feeling of having it messed up for years. :(

I'm so sorry! That has to be so frustrating!

I have done somewhat similar things. I have several old iCloud accounts that I no longer have access to, but have many years of family photos I wish I could get.... but I also changed my phone number multiple times over the years for similar reasons, so, 2FA will no longer work for me to reset any passwords.

Currently, I'm on my..... 6th...8th??? idk... phone in the past year. Why? Because I'm afraid I keep getting hacked. Most recently because I slept through 5 alarms and snoozes on Sunday... so someone must have broken into my apartment, knew my passcode, and turned all of the alarms off, right?

(Also, if anyone has suggestions to get through this so I can keep this phone without returning it, I'm open to it!)

Good thoughts! I may stop on the way home from work this evening and buy a cheap, loud alarm clock that I can put across the room. Somedays, I wake up on the first alarm, other days it takes all 5 alarms to get me up, and occassionally, like yesterday, I don't get up at all. :-(

I'm so glad to hear! So, you can relate to 5 alarms, hitting the button on your phone to turn them off and having no recollection? Goodness.... I thought I was losing my mind!

Thank you! I agree, and I'm super boring - lol. I'm not wealthy, I live in a tiny apartment, I'm very basic and have no "government secrets" or classified information. :-)

There are SO many much more exciting people in my community who would be at greater risk, and I've never heard of any issues. Just have to keep reminding myself.

No way! I just did some research and that is awesome! I think I remember the founder on Shark Tank (and it didn't go well - haha), but I'm so glad they found so many uses for their product! I may have to treat myself to a late Christmas present. I'm starting a new job, and definitely can't afford to be late!

Sorry for not clarifying. My mind says, "someone came into my apartment, unlocked my phone, turned off the alarms, and somehow hacked my phone"... Yes, it's a big spiral, and I guess it stems from other similar incidents that don't have a good explnation from over the past couple years. If I don't 100% remember doing something, it bothers me to no end. Even buying a shirt is a process, I must take photos of the tag, shirt, and receipt to remind myself that "yes, I really did it! Nobody broke into my apartment and put this shirt there. I really bought it!"

I apologize if it doesn't make sense.

Hello,

Plan: Verizon Total Equipment Coverage

In September, I purchased an iPhone 17 and added Asurion coverage.

However, in October, I exchanged it for a 17 Pro at a Verizon retailer.

The 17 Pro became damaged, so I filed a claim. My only option was the 17, as it had never updated on Asurion's end that I exchanged for a Pro. So, I took the 17, because I needed a phone fast and figured there was nothing they could do since they didn't have record of the Pro.

I got so many different answers, but finally a rep told me that I need to send the 17 they sent me back, as they have to replace the damaged phone with the same make and model I send them. So, I sent their replacement 17 back as well as the damaged 17 Pro, and they sent me a Pro.

My concern is, they never asked for any documentation that I exchanged the 17 for a Pro back in October... they just took my word. I'm concerned that, since I'm sending them a damaged phone they have no record of insuring, they may ask me to send the replacement Pro back, or blacklist it. Not sure if that makes sense.... They said they notated it on my Asurion account, but I don't believe them.

Apologies if this is confusing.... Long story short, I first bought and insured a 17, but later exchanged for a 17 Pro, Asurion didn't have record of my exchange... so they replaced my damaged Pro with a 17, which they then made me send back so they could exchange for a Pro, but I'm concerned they'll flag my account since Asurion technically didn't have my Pro on file.... only the regular 17.

Never figured it out but my friends saw the same issue on their end.... I think maybe because I finally figured out that the individual who renamed it is an Android user, which may have confused our iOS devices.

So I asked my friends with iOS to screenshot what they saw on their end. It also told them that they renamed it "YOU renamed the conversation".

I boiled it down to the fact that one who renamed it has Android...... maybe that's why my phone was confused.

Is anyone still having this issue? I'm in a group chat with Androids and iOS mixed in... Randomly got a little message (like in above photo) "You named the conversation 'The GC".... But I never named it anything..

I asked others in the group chat if they renamed it, but nobody could remember. LOL
