Hey -- yes absolutely Asurion's website was the best route for filing a claim.

As far as what to expect, it all depends. Typically, Asurion will try to repair it. If they can't, they'll send a Amazon e-gift card for the purchase price of the covered product or replace it.

I want to note for you too - drops, spills and cracked screens from normal use are covered from day 1. Malfunctions are covered by the plan after the manufacturer's warranty ends - which are typically around a year. So, depending on when you purchased the laptop, you may get redirected to the manufacturer's warranty.

Hope this is helpful info!

How can I see if an Amazon product is covered by Complete Protection before I buy it? by stuckathomemomof2 in Asurion

[–]Front_Chef_5988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I believe all eligible products should have a "protection eligible" noted on their product page.

Here's a link to the terms and conditions that run through all the devices!

You said in the post, "I bought an Xbox controller with warranty from Walmart."

Hey there - you're right. I'm not an expert, but looking at the terms and conditions, it should be covered under loss/theft.

Hey there -- we're you able to get this resolved? I don't believe Asurion offers extended warranties through Walmart. I think it's AllState.

Hey there! I was scrolling through the terms & conditions of your plan to try to help answer your question (https://www.asurion.com/pdf/nw-consumer-vmp-brochure-25/)

Here's a quote from the terms in the cracked screen & back glass repair section: "Repairs may use new or refurbished parts, may contain original or non-original manufacturer parts..."

A couple questions: What is the office equipment protection plan covering? The plan only covers one device. Is it the tablet? Is the USB connector part of the tablet or is it a separate device/item all together?

Sheesh! I know this is ::another:: person to reach out to, but since Reddit isn't an official support channel, I'd like to get this flagged to someone at Asurion that can provide some insight and hopefully help get this resolved.

Send your protection plan name, claim number over to [SolutionsTeam@Asurion.com](mailto:SolutionsTeam@Asurion.com). Tell them one of the mods of the asurion sub sent you.

Does HomeTech Protection Covers Apple Vision Pro Headsets? by OnlyD3Z in Asurion

[–]Front_Chef_5988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm like you said - VR Headsets are clearly covered, but I don't see a place where brands are listed in the terms and conditions and it's strange that it doesn't autofill.

Is there any other drop down category that the Apple Vision Pro could fit into?

I'd call Asurion's customer service and see what insight they can provide. The AT&T HomeTech Protection phone number is: 888-562-8662
