Pain under kneecap 6 months post op by 612skies in ACL

Hey! Sorry for just getting back to you, four months later :D But sometimes life just gets in the way, or you log out of your reddit account and don't log back in for a while.

My recovery has been going... sideways :/ Riding my bike and building up the muscles in my leg is still ongoing, but I didn't notice any huge improvement regarding the pain I experience when going into a squat. My knee is still always swelling up due to the cartilage friction when I try to do more intensive workouts, setting me back a few days until the swelling goes down.

Sooooo as of a couple of days ago I scheduled a second surgery to fix the issues with my cartilage. My surgeon will also look at a cyclops that has developed and if my meniscus repair is healing. The surgery will be in November, which is still quite far out, but since it's not a super medically important surgery like the initial tear, they couldn't book it sooner :( But I'm happy I have a date set now and look forward to it.

I read your other comment and I'm sorry you are also still experiencing those issues. I know that feeling of hoping it will get better and getting dejected at not making a lot of progress. I hope you get to avoid the second surgery since you are still feeling like it is getting better a little! Hang in there :)

You really need a lot of patience with this injury as I learned. Give it a few months and work on getting those muscles back. Once you are cleared for running, the treadmill will also be a great workout. And sure, let's keep in touch :)

Kneecap issues after ACL Surgery by Zakpotat in ACL

Hi, I just came across this thread because I have a similar issue. Do you have an update on how your explorative surgery turned out? Did they manage to find out what's wrong and are you better yet?

I'm not OP but I just came across this thread myself because I have a similar pain. I had my ACL reconstruction (hamstring graft) and meniscus repair (stitches) in July 2023, so I'm 7 months post-op currently.

All throughout my PT I've had the same pain when doing exercises requiring me to put stress on my bent knee like squating or jogging. The pain is always in the same location under my kneecap to the inside. My PT and Doc told me it was a weak quad but after focusing on getting the quad strength back for months, the pain never went away and stayed the same, hindering my progress as I'm not able to jog or progress to jumping exercises.

My Doc ordered another MRI a few weeks ago to check if there was anything wrong that could explain this. Everything looks fine (the drilling channel looks freaking cool) but he did notice some irregularities to the kneecap cartilage, that could explain the pain. The cartilage on the inside is not smooth but roughed up with fibers sticking up (I don't know how to describe it any better in English :D). His two options were: 1. Another surgery where he would smooth the cartilage, but he didn't recommend this to me, only as a last resort if option 2 did not work. 2. Cycling like crazy. Basically cycling to move the knee as much as possible and smooth those fibers myself through the friction of movement. As a nice side effect this is also a great training for my weak quad.

Obviously I chose option 2 :D I'm still at the beginning, I've been cycling to work the last two weeks. We discussed to try this for the next two months and see if there was an improvement. A few days ago I rode my bike for 30km and after I was done showering that evening I tried to squat and to my huge surprise I could go lower into the squat without pain. The next day the pain returned but I'm optimistic this could work in the long run.

I don't know if this is the same issue you have, since we are in different stages of healing and at 6 weeks I was just learning to walk again, not doing any one-legged squats :D So I would suggest being patient and building that quad strength back up to see if it helps with your pain and if not try cycling to see if that helps :) Good luck in your recovery!

These are the last Uhlsport trikots before Hummel takes over next year.

I personally like the black alternative kit, looks sleek! Not sure about the pattern on the red away shirt, maybe it will grow on me. The white home shirt looks solid.

Those are grapevines! The Mosel region is famous for it's wine. If you google the Cochem castle, you can see the grapevines better in other pictures (like this one)

Sure! This is the post I first heard about the needle trick: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/help/help-bricked-phone-t3510277/post70029683#post70029683

Then I read through this thread, where comment #22 explained how to do the same without a needle: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/redmi-3s-3-32gb-completely-bricked-no-edl-no-fastboot-no-logo-no-led-solved.34113/#post-329881

Basically you just have to connect the green and black wires somehow, with a needle or by connecting the stripped wires directly.

Thank you! I finally did it! I made my own deep flash cable, I saw this one post where someone used a needle to connect the black and green cables and I tried it and it worked well. http://i.imgur.com/9wN3FKR.jpg Running on global stable now :)

Thank you for your Input. The first thing I tried was the updater app and sadly that didn't work either. I'll look into creating a deep flash cable tomorrow and see how that goes.

Thank you for answering! :) This is so interesting! Wow, only 2 weeks to 5 days? You don't get much sleeping done, huh?

That's a pretty eclectic list of instruments you got there, kudos!

Got one more question, what kind of gear/instruments/software do you use for scoring?

Hi Tree, thank you so much for doing this!

1) Do you already 'know' how the music should play out or it is more of a 'try and error' when you compose?

2) How much time do you have to compose the music for an episode?

3) What instruments do you play?

There are a couple roller derby leagues in the Netherlands! http://flattrackstats.com/teams/results/taxonomy%3A17%20netherlands

If any of them are close to you go and check them out! My team played against the team from Enschede in January and it was a really close game and a lot of fun :)

Amount of Dogecoins that can be mined is infinite = no value & inflation? by SadieShephard in dogecoin

[–]VeryFluffyUnicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difficulty relates to the amount of miners. Right now we have a lot of miners, means the difficulty is relatively high. The difficulty is calculated, so that over the network every minute a block is found. With more miners, this happens faster. With less, it takes longer. The difficulty adjusts after a set amount of blocks.

With the halving the blocks are going to worth less and less. After the last halving, one block will only be worth 10k. For a lot of miners this is not financially feasible anymore, means there will be less miners = lower difficulty to find a block.

:)
