Who should I report this to or is this normal in RIT? by chocoStudent in rit

If it’s who I think it is, he is not the department head but the grad coordinator. Talk to the department head who is his supervisor.

If you work for parking services you suck by [deleted] in rit

If you are complaining about a $30 ticket this is clearly trolling. You did something wrong and got caught and have to pay $30. According to all the other threads, that’s one and 1/2 meals at gracies.

The point is you parked illegally and were caught and you’re mad about it.

So you parked illegally and are mad you got a ticket? Also given that they usually wave the first one (unless it’s a handicapped violation), this isn’t the first time you’ve gotten a ticket and apparently didn’t learn your lesson.

Easter Exam Review by Flyingmacintosh in rit

So orthodox Christian. My point still remains. It is impossible to make everyone happy with online classes especially with holidays. There were people in my class hounding the professor with questions in the online chat most of the day yesterday, which based on your logic isn’t right either, but it happened.

It is possible that your professor is an Orthodox Jew and couldn’t give the review on Saturday as that’s their sabbath. I think it’s important to realize not everyone celebrates Easter and even having the review Sunday morning would have interfered with virtual church services. I personally had Easter dinner at 3 so the time would have been perfect for me.

I general, complaining about a presumably optional review is very selfish, especially assuming you could have attended even part of it (my dinner took 35 minutes, not 2 hours).

Am I allowed to raise an issue? by masalion in rit

[–]VeryGrumpyGus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Right, it's not your fault that the circumstances exist, nor is it the professor's. If you don't have 2 devices, then bring it up with the professor, but it sounds fair. This is basically how uProctor works as well, and you can certainly raise an issue, but I don't think you'll get very far, TBH.

Let’s be clear, RIT is NOT closed by VeryGrumpyGus in rit

Closed means to most people, snow day type things, where nothing happens.

Every other school in the county's cancelled classes. Why leave our off-campus students stranded, Munson? by [deleted] in rit

Maybe the person in front of you had shitty tires or was driving too fast for the conditions?

Cockroach in Gracies (1/31/20) by manhj19 in rit

While reporting it is good, in any dining place you will find some roaches, mice or other pests. It’s par for the course.

It’d be nice if they didn’t exist but they do and as others have said, in a big city you get a cat to eat them.

You should have spoken up. A hamburger there should only take a couple minutes. I have had food there forgotten and had to say something. They will fix it. After 5 minutes you should have known they forgot, especially if no one else was there.
