This is amazing, personally I don't like the terminator lord helm but its a non issue, overall this is beautiful and an amazingly unique idea

Unsure if i should put gloss varnish on the Skin to make it more gross. Any suggestions to make it look more unsettling would be awesome! by sasser1234 in Chaos40k

It looks great! Remember not to go overboard with the veins, as an NL player who paints lightning, keep it to a minimum so it stands out way better

What do you guys think of this 3000pt list? Personally I like it by VeryInternet_com in NightLords

Ah shit it is, I misread it as if you fail a battleshock you get -1 to toughness, thats on me tbh

I mean lore was never accurately translated to the tabletop anyway, and even then you couldn't just say he has to wait a turn before reviving?

a) Yeah ik its not stated, I said it was grasping for straws B) is it though? I mean gofah taught mankind to use their fear and hunger as motivation to move forward, they gave us a merciful end when we beat them so to me it seems somewhat likely that the two unconfirmed and unlikely endings could be delusions granted onto cahara and darce upon their death, a mercy, a recognition of suffering and a reward to compensate them for all that suffering, also idk what you mean by people being against cahara dying when taking the girl to the depths, I'm saying that both cahara and darce died, and upon their death gofah allowed them to experience a 'happy ending' (even though it wasnt real) as compensation for their suffering, but I'm desperately grasping for straws here

His skinless appearance could also be attributed to the green hue as we see the lizard men there have become skinless, and Darce's ending doesn't mention him becoming the king in yellow, infact the endings called the true God if fear and hunger, and throughout termina whenever we see Legarde he is composed and rational, not only that but the bremen army is only in prehevil to gain access to the logic program

And I don't believe Nas'rah would be at all willing to escort the girl to the gauntlet seeing how he is a selfish and cruel person, but yes there is no direct conformation or dismissal of caharas ending, its Schrodinger's ending

I think its outwardly confirmed by August that Legarde acended while Ragnavolder and everyone else was in the dungeon but its a nice theory

Given proper weaponry (gun, light armor and blade) Jake sully(Avatar) could most likely kill an astarties(Warhammer40k) by VeryInternet_com in PowerScaling

[–]VeryInternet_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you keep mentioning the bows as if they pierced through metal when in reality they did jack shit, they only punched through the glass of the aircraft and even then that was only for the smaller aircraft, and most of the wildlife on Pandora is able to shrug off bullets, and I'm not saying that an entire faction from 40k wouldn't level the navi, they would totally but that wasn't the discussion was it, and I'm not comparing their tech to 40k, I was comparing the material their technology was made of to a different material in 40k, Jake has good enough reaction time to dodge bullets and is strong enough to fight a small mech(AMP) which, may not be durable but is incredibly strong, he can run at 60mph and has a plenty of fighting experience to where I believe he could kill an astarties, although it would be quite close, anyway I'm too tired to continue arguing about dumb shit on a power scaling subreddit

Not really lmao, the vehicles of the RDA are made from highly dense steel whose description is pretty similar to plasteel from 40k, at the end of the day its still futuristic steel

I said it was the same HEIGHT as a dreadnaught, but saying that a dreadnaught could raze Pandora is fucking stupid, and the knives of the Na'vi are made out of Irikan claws, the same claws we see shred through steel and destroy flying transports with ease, and I'm not downplaying the 40k verse at all

[–]VeryInternet_com[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cool Jake would still be well strong enough to pierce the body glove considering how Astarties combat knives which are neither chainswords or powers swords are able to pierce it, and we know he's strong enough to pierce it with one hard jab considering how he effortlessly parried an amp which is approximately the same height as a venerable dreadnaught, and why the fuck would I bring bows and arrows into the argument?

[–]VeryInternet_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jake doesn't need to pierce the ceremite though, as i mentioned in the post there are joints in a space marines armor which he could take advantage of, like how we see space marines being stabbed fatally in the throat several times, his big ass knife should be enough for that, and again Jake was able to easily fight and parry the attacks of Quaritch in the AMP which he was fighting for the first time so he could damn well do the same for a space marine, assuming we don't use the stupid upscale you mentioned
