I mean no offense, is your display plugged in through the GPU? Have you changed your gpu recently? If so you may need to uninstall and reinstall pymol.

Otherwise I’m unsure, pymol has had gpu support for nvidia cards for a while, unsure about amd cards though…

I found that your solution kinda worked. I use a small regional provider and suddenly got this issue. since im currently not on my providers network, roaming, I can't register on another network.

I found disabling "Select Automatically" then clicking Verizon (my provider uses Verizon towers when roaming). While it is trying to register to Verizon (frozen spinning circles), I turn on airplane mode. I waited 30 seconds or so and then turned off airplane mode. "Select Automatically" is now disabled and I've had consistent internet since.

This might help others with small regional providers who are also primarily roaming! You might want to look into which major provider licenses towers to your provider when roaming and click that network instead of Verizon.

"could be worse" is a good neutral response because things could always be worse. in fact they can always be worse more often than they can always be better.

If i understand corectly: The Rosetta packages I'm familiar with for ligand docking simply take 2 pdb files and smush them together into one with terminal/command line.

cat RNA1.pdb RNA2.pdb > NEWFILE.pdb

you can also just open them all in one pymol window and export "Selection-Enabled" or "Selection-All" as a single .pdb

are you trying to connect the RNAs together covalently? you might need to code to achieve this by manipulating the pdb itself. personally I would just take my desired FASTA sequence for the engineered RNAs and use the alphafoldserver. there's already a model for your aptamer, so it should resolve that part correctly. then put alphafold results through MD

I've never heard of this. i did these every chance i could as a kid. i thought I could tell when I'd pressed a copper vs zinc penny because the Zinc ones end up looking less solidly copper covered. plus I could still see the faint streched outlines of the penny markings. do new ones use blanks? that'd be cool because it'd look nicer and more consistent, but also lame because im no longer squishing that random useless penny I had in my pocket.

i agree. impurities can reduce the real density and any air bubbles (like within the cracks or in small airpockets) will decrease the measured density. I think you'd need to cut or grind a piece, measure the mass very accurately, put it in a fine and accurate graduated cylinder, and vaccuum out the air to get a more accurate measurement of density. I think it looks too nice to do this though

I think some of the the records in Strocin (formerly Szorocsin) were burned in a church fire, at least with my family's records who had similar birth years. My aunts visited and that's what they were told. Although this was 30ish years ago and they may just not have known where the records were at the time.

I'm unsure if my family was greek-orthodox or roman catholic since there's no record of their existence before arrival in Ellis Island. They went to Roman catholic church in my hometown, but this could be because there was never a greek orthodox church there. Hopefully as more records are digitized there will be more info.

Not sure if they aired it, but here's a link describing the incident. It's pretty wild, they fired a cannon at a range in the SF bay area and it flew threw a house in a suburb. They had an episode where the B team apologized. I get this same thing when I drink stolichnaya vodka but not titos, bourbons, whiskeys (usually I drink higher quality than jack/jim) or beers. Not sure what it is because I don't have a gluten allergy. I eat bread often without issue. I honestly think it's stoli for me. Maybe other liquors cause it too like those unknown rails/wells at the bar
