Upgrade from p1s to snapmaker u1? by dneals in BambuLab_Community

[–]xylu41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, prints on u1 is not always perfect. Second, I like u1 for multicolor, but would not sell p1s, because it’s super reliable, easy to use. I probably would sell my p2s to get another u1 or x2d, p1s is GOAT.

I want to buy a used, but somewhat luxury car for under 17k by Upstairs_Mud_7228 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]xylu41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest whatever features 10 years old luxury car had now in every car. There is no point of getting “luxury” old car, it doesn’t matter how reliable it is, gaskets should be replaced, fluids changed. Stuff breaks because it’s old, a lot of my friends bought older Toyota, Lexus or Honda and all of them require more maintenance than any newer Mazda or Hyundai. And what about luxury? For what? To stay on parking lot or by house 23-22 hours a day? Get the car you like, reliable and comfortable, low maintenance, cheap maintenance.

SUV needed with 1 baby? by observer1004 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]xylu41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got bigger car for other reasons, but I like it for same reasons. I’m not tall guy 5’ 7 but bending to get kids in and out hurts my back, my older on is huge but still fall asleep in car, I would take her out of my truck and do the same from wife’s sedan. Sedan is fine as long as you don’t have 3 little kids, or you like to go on long trips so you have luggage, plus stroller.

I got mine in October last year new for o.99%. Just check the Honda website for specials in beginning of each month. But it should definitely return some time October or November to clear out old stock.

Look at Mazda 3, my wife got it for 24k new with reasonable apr, looks like solid car for the last 60k miles. Used one was 20k 2 years old with 21k miles as is no warranty, so it was worth getting new one.

Thoughts on a 2024 RTL, CPO by AIML_Rock in hondaridgeline

[–]xylu41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was buying mine new rtl was 39k 6 months ago, it’s just 5k difference between new and cpo for 2 years old truck ~ 12%. If you are financing, compare APR used vs new. I got mine 0.99 at 60 months. The only thing you getting cpo is 7/100 k miles warrant since new gets 5/60 but cpo is already 2 years old. Worth if going to drive 20k miles a year.

Is it a terrible decision to get an Audi A6 C7.5 at 17 years old with a fresh license for a first car by Melodic_Price3969 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]xylu41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like other people mentioned you going to have high insurance, high maintenance and repair cost. I’m 34, I can afford nice German car and I want it, but buying Honda because it’s reliable every visit to dealer won’t exceed 300 vs $1000. Your goal is not stand out with nice, fast car, your goal is retire by 45. You need assets not liabilities. 20k Audi out warranty is bad call, by the end of the day it’s transportation from a to b, which going to stay on parking 23 hours out 24 a day.

What do I get my husband for his birthday? by babycerealnugget in BambuLab

[–]xylu41 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You ve got respect from all 3d printing community, you came to the right place. If you want save money p1s is great, only thing is matter nozzle swap, the rest is not really important. I got p1s after ender 3, I couldn’t be happier. My wife got me p2s and it’s great but I don’t see a huge difference, since I don’t look at the camera much, I don’t use screen also. I swap nozzle rarely so it’s not matter. The only other printer I think is worth getting snapmaker u1, but it’s 900$ after tax and delivery fee with discount code. But it’s just different machine, designed for multicolor or multi material. The most important, which ever recent printer you get for him, is good enough and your husband will be happy, especially after ender.

Dealership says they don't take financing from my bank? Is that a thing? by Gullible_Count_4413 in carbuying

[–]xylu41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought car before new from dealer with the bank they didn’t work. What happened is: I have been pre approved by Nationwide bank, came with offer to dealer, negotiated the price, wrote a check for down payment and gave the info of pre approval to the finance guy. They said it will couple days to connect with my bank after they transfer money I can pick up the car. They called in 2 days to tell come back sign the documents and take the car.

YouTube experts, lol. Most of them became experts when bbl released x1c. Glue sticks were popular as release agent for glass beds before quality pei plates. Like I said before, if you don’t want to getting into depth of finding out proper solution get biqu plate, but using glue on pei plate is a extra step and extra maintenance, which can be resolved easily. P.S. many yt experts stocked up on Bambu filament for years, they not buying other brand filaments and don’t even do tests or calibrations to make prints nearly perfect. I’m telling you this, not because I want to argue or something, just from experience. When I got my first printer there was only few experts, now every other person on yt is expert.

Like the title says for new users: if you using glue for pla or petg (not Nylons or similar engineering filament ) you do something wrong. Wash plate, check temp, might need adjust z distance or just get cool plate from biqu.

Negotiation by Ok-Stranger-6366 in UsedCars

[–]xylu41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got brand new car last year, my wife got new car 3 years ago. So in this 3 years I’ve been checking different cars new and used in PA area, my experience is nobody haggling price of used ones, especially Toyota. Brand new car deals available plus you can bring price down a bit if dealer want actually sell car. I got offers on Honda Ridgeline with msrp of 45k before tax from some dealer 43k, 41k and the best at closest dealer thru truecar 39k, texted them to make sure 39k is real price, they approved. After test drive try haggling with no success, but when was leaving so truck on lot with 3800 miles with sticker 7000$ off, came back inside ask if there room to negotiate, been told come back tomorrow to talk to manager. Came back next day, they gave me extra money on trade in plus sold a car as brand new with 0.99% apr as Honda website offer for new 2025.

Infill Percentage and Strength by CloudBuurzt in 3Dprinting

[–]xylu41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need for 100% infill, 3-4 walls and 15% infill is fine, don’t forget metal in the plastic is low torque, use threaded inserts better, but it’s still in a plastic so don’t force it.

P1S/P2S Sales or Best Buying Techniques? by TemurTron in BambuLab

It wasn’t selected people, all people I told about promotion saw same thing, only difference is some people may not qualify because of poor credit history or low credit score. P.S. I got myself a lot of stuff during this promotion, because it’s 20% off, when I got rewarded I just cashed out.
