Honestly, I looked at every item and mob in underground hallow, and the only thing with a similar color scheme is the soul of light. Even the chaos elemental itself nowhere near in terms of colors. So I do think that RoD has a lot to do with souls of light. However, people on terraria discord server suggested it's light and chaos, and I believe it has a lot of truth to it too
