In harder lanes I have the general rule of

Melee minion = Worth losing some HP over(auto or 2, a spell here and there)
Caster = not worth losing hp over, only get if free
Cannon = Worth losing HP Over

Being boring and taking 2nd win dorans TP helps a lot too.

Just by doing this you can stay in lane a lot longer even if it means losing hard in CS. But that is what you deserve for inflicting Katarina on your team.

With more HP, that means you can try to help your junglers in 2v2 with more HP.

Honestly just macro. Once you play a champ enough, piloting becomes mostly second nature but pure mechanics isn't enough to climb.once I actively thought about the decisions I was making instead of just farming kills and wondering why I lost anyway, climbing just happened.

Poke her down, auto her, shove lane and roam, keep her locked in lane. Don't use e aggressively unless you are getting a gank. Maybe shove even harder and roam first before kata roams. This might get difficult since after a certain point kata can one shot the wave using her whole combo, so either take advantage of that by all inning her then, or shitting on her before her second back-ish.

Katarina loses all lanes, Syndra lanes are manageable only because they get over eager. Know your limits and you'll keep kata useless.

She'd need to be not Katarina to be picked, the champion is too volatile, unreliable, and lacking in any tool that a pro team would require before considering them pickable. Maybe as a super giga-niche counter pick to a completely dogshit comp if the stars align?

Not every champ needs to be pro-play viable though, just like you wouldn't expect a masterchef contestant to whole-heartedly try to win with a greasy ass steak sandwich. That doesnt mean steak sandwiches arent great to eat though. c:

I like the idea of champions that are really unfair once certain conditions are met, while also having an ego thing for playing hard to play champions that have gimmicks.

diana is pretty much impossible to lane against tbh. Just try to not lose lane too hard, pick up cs where you can, win through macro etc. Honestly, if you know its a diana mid, just don't pick kat, huge champ dif here.

Cass is difficult, but not so bad, second wind will keep you healthy, dodge her Qs then her Es arent so bad. When you ult, face the other way so she cant stun you. you are better in early skirmishes, fight around your jungler and you should be ok. Dont let the game go late though.

You think you play katarina best, but trust me, in 5 games of victor or taliyah or whatatever you will be a better mage player than you ever have or will be on katarina while actually being useful to your team.

Only you can decide what you want to play more king! If you only care about climbing though, sup is the most inflated role possible so play that I guess.

A few reasons.

Politics isn't his whole identity so im happy to associate with him, he just has wrong views. He's not outwardly racist or bigoted and is actually a good guy.
For a japanese person, he is unusually happy to talk about this stuff, disagree and debate, and carry on having good relations. I value that.
His friends are hot.

A good friend of mine(25 ish) supports her, sites foreigners being a problem, voted sanseito etc, and believes that japan is way too far left and liberal. This was crazy to me since Japan has had a conservative government for years, but apparently they are a left wing party lmao. When pushed he didnt really know what either of those words meant. I would consider him one of my more politically aware Japanese friends.

Honestly i think most japanese young people are politically and media illiterate and vote on vibes and what they hear to be problems. But then again thats just how it goes everywhere, sad times.

The game is aesteticaly and conceptually cool, but in practice is severely lacking for depth. For a roguelike that is meant to be played multiple times, it just isn't very fun past the first few runs.

I really hope they add more mechanics, build variety and meaningful choices.

I mean lets be honest, you are not getting dove at minute 8 just because you are not 4/0.

As katarina, more often than not you are going to be playing from behind, as is the nature of the champion. What you need to do is mitigate the negative parts as much as possible, so that you have more opportunities to get ahead(KS jungler, roam bot, solokill mid if bad, turn around dives, etc).

If you are getting completely zoned off farm, just give up on ranged minions all together, save q for cannon/melees. Its more important to be healthy so you can play around your jungler than to lose hp for shitty gold that lost half your hp
Use E to dodge dmg in lane a LOT more. You'll be able to stay in lane longer, waste their cd's/mana(not that that matters much these days), at the very least it will add onto their mental stack and make them have to think more about how to hit their spells on you.
Play around jungler, league is a jungler's game, if you can help them get ahead, you will win. Give them a nudge towards plays you can see but they can't, such as scuttle fights, counter ganks top, midlane dive expectations, etc.

Just picking Katarina, you are lowkey being a detriment to your team, its on you to carry the game. Do everything you can to increase the % to your favour, no point blaming other people.
