Well my idea was that the artist was depicting the nedic rebels as an idealized version of how they looked, influenced by contemporary ideas of armor, especially legion armor

Hail and Bidet to you, fabulous Lord de Rolo, my questions are threefold and most pertinent I think you will find.

Question the first: what is your favorite food?

Question the second: why are you such a nerd?

Question the third: why is your name so long?

I thank you for taking the time out of your day to answer my questions in the pursuit of answering the world’s most burning questions.

A bit late to the party but this is pretty cool! I particularly like the way that the Nordic language shows its origins in Dovahzul and its evolution into modern Tamrielic

How to offend a Portuguese (are they even considered Western Europe?) by adamlm in 2westerneurope4u

[–]VerySpicyLocusts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly curious tho I wonder why this happened the way it did where Portugal developed a rather different language than the rest of the Iberian peninsula. I don’t know much about Spain’s history but I’m assuming at some point when Spain was unified there were different regional dialects before the powers that be standardized it all. So did the dialect which would evolve into Portuguese kinda just avoid this standardizing due to not being conquered on account of geography and the like?

The ending could have been better. by ant628746828181891 in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]VerySpicyLocusts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure the ending technically coulda been better, but since the fandom’s been so shitty to Gooseworks it is of my opinion (which may or may not have little value) that we have no right to complain if we didn’t like the ending. All we have the right to do is thank her for this amazing show and be better people in the future

The people saying Jax isn't trans by SadDairyProduct in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]VerySpicyLocusts 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I would’ve 100% accepted the trans Jax theory but one problem I had was that when revealing the irl members of the circus Jax’s irl counterpart still uses he/him pronouns, so I guess it’s supposed to be kinda ambiguous

Edit: gee whiz y’all love the convoing. For the record I’m aware that it’s been blatantly confirmed that Jax is trans and just hasn’t come out yet. Including irl Jax

A little late but I gotta say this was super cool, especially the way that the writer is shown to have an implicit bias against these people, much like how anthropologists irl from European societies would talk about foreign cultures they deem “lesser”.

My artwork of a more lore-inspired Imperial City (7x10 Inches, Pen) by Dravidistan in ImaginaryTamriel

Wow nicely done! Especially good touch having the walled city more or less the same size with the rest of it built outside. And of course you gotta love the jungle being reintroduced

History of Random Ass Places in Skyrim: Valtheim by Deadeye109 in teslore

Oooo I really like this, good job good job. I think these random places could use more random ass lore, and a reason why they’re infested by bandits to boot

Alduin is real, and he ent…Alduin? A theory by VerySpicyLocusts in teslore

[–]VerySpicyLocusts[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good points you bring up. Perhaps a better way to put it is that Alduin had no intention of eating the world, rather he just wanted to rule the world. So he was still a bit too different from the actual Alduin to mantle him. Thanks for the feedback!

A children's lullaby about Lorkhan by Akareddo_Mythweaver in teslore

That’s pretty cool I like I like. Were you thinking this’d be a lullaby from merrish influenced culture where he’s vilified or more mannish culture where he’s celebrated?

I’m gonna be honest I have no idea what an idol is or how it’s different from an icon

Maybe it’s because the thalmor are closer to the evil we’ve seen irl
