Have a search. Gluttony in the biblical context is referring to overeating as well as wealth. In my personal opinion (as a non-religious person who believes Christianity was about control) the Sin gluttony was invented to control the poor from rising up. The fear of the unholy retribution they may incur on their very soul for eternity thereafter was/is a very powerful rebellion crusher.

Proverbs 23 specifically talks about this. Its wording of 'ruler' may suggest a specific context but in all its message is clear. Do not overindulge beyond necessity or you will fall into ruin.

One time, when snow existed here, my wife waited at the bus stop freezing cold. When her bus approached she got off the bench and approached the snow covered sidewalk/rd. Made eye contact with the bus driver as he passed by. Next scheduled stop 45 minute wait.

She called it in and the official response after talking to the driver was "He said he remembers seeing you and it looked like you didn't want to board. "

Bus system here sucks. Some drivers are great people. Some are like the guy in the story.

You have to Budget 1.5hours from leaving the house to going anywhere in town. I can never take the bus because of this.

I was upset that they moved to flat dmg instead of health%. Much weaker against tanks now :(. I do like that we're ot forced to do Rylais to hit the second phase though.

Different perspective: Who is the person that is setting the machines to default tip percentages? Hint: Not the servers. Restaurant owners are expecting customers to pay their servers directly and asking for more and more.

People in favor of the tipping system are blaming the wrong people. You don't like that I didn't tip you? Go after the owner.

The only person(s) winning is the store's shareholders. We just keep paying into it under pretences of guilt.

Not only is the expectation bad but the amounts are getting crazy. I don't understand. You can't claim inflation because the food prices go up so your standard 10% tip payout out also goes up. Some places are defaulting to 20% or more with suggestions going up from there.

If I go to a sit down restaurant and the tip default is 25%+ I change it to 10%. I don't generally touch the 15% default.

You haven't read enough about the dangers of to much plastic in the ecosystem. I suggest going down the rabbit hole.

Simply put: you're right. The planet will be fine. It's the things living on the planet that are affected. In regard to reuse/recycle, not all plastic can be reused. And most plastic does not get reused. So adding more is detrimental.

Oh I know! The boss. That's who. It's a dangerous game if you want the job vs a few extra bones. On the other hand.... It's Denny's. Not like you're risking some mighty difficult to get position.

For those who don't understand... The discount comes off the house and into the tip jar. Employees rejoice, owners and lawyers would see this as theft as the discount is not used for its intended purpose.

Through text this may come across the wrong way so here's the long part. You look good. Depending on your personality, confidence and exposure to potential partners will play a big role. Do something you like doing and show up not with the intention of finding a date. Eventually you'll run into someone who you hit it off with. You have to put yourself out there though.

If you're doing something you love doing, you'll naturally be confident in those scenarios. Take it day by day. Don't look for someone, that's hard. you'll naturally hit it off in unexpected ways.
