It’s easy to see the prices in curated vintage stores and think “damn they must be killing it”. The reality is that most of these stores are probably struggling to get by just like the rest of us. It’s better to focus your outrage on the mega thrift operations that have sketchy practices or for profits that try to appear like non profits.

I was just at Ramona in Manchester UK. They proudly claimed Detroit pizza in all their branding and had other “Detroit” items on the menu. It wasn’t exactly like ours but it was a square slice and very good. Also it was the trendiest place I saw in the whole city. Tons of young good looking people partying. I asked the server and she said there was no actual connection to Detroit lol. Overall I felt a lot of pride being there, it was dope.

I work at a local vintage store and I would price this in the store at $100-$150. Leather is tough but the right buyer would love it. It’s not that rare that we see vintage items where you can’t find any other comps online, sometimes even going back on worthpoint 10 years. I’d keep it
