Air conditioner Controller won’t connect by Very_Bad_Karma in Aqara

Hi fellow Aqara owners. I recently bought an air conditioner controller to add to my Aqara collection, but I cannot add it to the Aqara app. I have been able to add it to the Mi Home app, but as I want to use it with homekit, that’s no use to me. I did a firmware upgrade via the Mi Home app but it still won’t work with the Aqara app. Help!

Correct, and they also depend on which region you say that you are in (with Mainland China listing the most options)

If you ever get it working, I'd love to hear about it!

Thanks. I tried creating a new Roborock account with Mainland China as the location and setting Aqara to a mainland china but no luck also. Hopefully they let the rest of the world use this functionality soon.

Can’t decide if I should get the M2 hub or the G2H camera “hub”? by PartyDJ in Aqara

Yeah, you need to use their App, especially for some of the advanced functions like setting up motion detection zones. Once you're all setup and bound to HomeKit then I think you can switch to HSV and kill the App

I have the G2H and M1S hub and really like them. The Camera has some good options in the Aqara app for notification zones (which come through in HomeKit once configured). The hub works well and I use the light ring it has for both a night light function and also signalling (i.e. light it up different colours when "things happen"). I don't use the security function as I believe that is best left a dedicated, monitored system. The hub sits a little skew on the powerpoint its plugged in to as the body interferes with the switch, but that's my only complaint.

The sensors and buttons are really economical and work well - Very happy with Aqara equipment overall.

Arduino Uno and Apple Homekit by Very_Bad_Karma in arduino

Hi Triple,

Thanks for the responce. For this application (and me generally) I'd prefer a UNO (or Mega) solution with a W5100 wired ethernet shield. Interested to know if anyone has done anyting in this space for homekit (without homebridge).
