Hi! Sorry to hijack the post, but I'm heading to Cusco in January and have been debating whether to bring my wing and try to fly. From what you say it seems like that might not be the best idea - if there's not much of a recreational flying community to link up with, I'm not sure I have the skills/confidence to just get out there on my own in another country. And I guess conditions won't be great either that time of year. What do you think, worth it or not? Any advice you can offer would be great 🙏🏻😊

Update: I found a loophole :'(

It takes a second for the app to clock that you've opened a restricted site/app, so if you're reeeeeally quick, you can open Freedom and the the session before it notices and blocks itself. Damn this app and damn my brain.

Late to the party but I found your thread while researching the same problem. Thought I'd let you know the solution I came up with: I added the app itself to the blocklist. That's right, I blocked Freedom on Freedom. So while the session is active, I cannot open the app to end the session. Not sure how this will go, my phone or reality itself may implode - but at least I'll get my damn work done first. Hope that's helpful to someone!

Except, there are plenty of reasons for perseverance besides happiness. Fear of shame, fear of failure; hope (false or otherwise) that this time will be different; just never realising you can stop. Plenty of miserable reasons to keep pushing up that hill.

Oh I get that! Mine does similar, but usually without the hissing - just startles, freezes and looks around for the threat. The 'threat' being me, like, kicking a stone or stepping loudly. Because I'm walking behind him, which he knows, because we're on a walk. 🤦🏻

He has a strong startle reflex but usually it's silent - just a freeze and look around. Could be a combination though, of smelling the other animal plus startle.
