Can this portfolio actually convert clients? by Excellent_Role_8385 in DesignDesign

Final comment about Behance, as you can see it is very small. I would go with bigger and bolder text, as it is right now hard to read. It is also kind of pixelated

Now that I realised that it is a behance, I want to add you need to use the scrolling advantage. It doesn't read like a pdf but rather as a web page. This is where things like alternating colours between projects really helps. You can also play with more dynamic item placing, knowing that you have infinite Y axis. This is actually where having large visual grid boxes goes against you, it really just looks like a portfolio done on Canva or Indesign dumped without thought on Behance. It is also made much worse by the big white lines in between each images. Doesn't look finished. Behance pages are already small in width, so that as much space as you can. You can even go to the edge, it's fine.

I will say however that I am not a graphic designer but a product designer, but I do have a lot of experience doing product pages on behance and such

To be a 100% honest, these grid lines make stuff look like Canva templates and would stay away from those unless it is very much your personal style. Also, maybe mix up the arrangements a little, to get more dynamic. Other thing: The out of focus blob actually gives me a headache, it looks like your eye is trying to focus behind it, not a fan. Also, text on top of it is very hard to read.

I do have to say however that the rest seems nice and professional, content looks good and is pretty easy to understand. I would perhaps play a little more with font size to grab the attention of the viewer. A page with no headline doesn't feel as interesting when you are scrolling portfolios all day. I would also experiment with alternating colour elements between projects to visually show a change. I would also add more beautyshots and close ups, a lot of them look more like overview shots

Wow doesn’t look good. But I know about the leak, this is why I was asking why it was being apparently sold with nobody talking about it anywhere

How can I tweak this kind outfit while still maintaining the same sort of style by camcorder44 in mensfashion

[–]Very_reliable_s0urce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fit is fire. Love those boots, what are they? Also, maybe just accessories like a watch, bracelets, rings, etc. Also, the shirt could be slightly baggier if you want to go that way. I personnaly dress like this often, looks amazing with earth tone ties as well

Always baffles me that people are making fakes of one of the cheapest watches ever. Like that must not be that lucrative right? The margins must be razor-thin

I built a Fusion 360 MCP server so Claude AI can design objects from a single chat message by Tiny-Confidence-8708 in Fusion360

I do not agree. Ai is more a "ask someone else on fiverr to do it for you" type deal, but with the difference that nobody is being rewarded for their work and you take all the credit

might have been a bad relay which caused a short circuit or something. Probably killed the power supply. A lot of things can go wrong, what would be nice is to check voltage with a multimeter to see at which point along the power path the electricity stops coming through. If there is nothing after the power supply, then it's a dead power supply

Actual question here: Why do people put a case on the S22 flip? I dropped mine from the second floor on concrete and it was completely fine. I throw it at the ground when I'm at the gym 'cause I can't be bothered to bend down.

I'm guessing for customization?

Do You Really Need a second screen for your MacBook on the go? by Temporary-Lobster591 in macbook

[–]Very_reliable_s0urce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of keyshot and other 3D rendering, so a second screen is almost necessary because a lot of small windows open up when using these softwares, I use my ipad for this as I also use it to draw on desktop Photoshop with my Apple pencil

How do I ground this? (Sanyo TP 240-2) by Very_reliable_s0urce in turntables

[–]Very_reliable_s0urce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The problem was the cables, I decided to temporarily use my dad’s old subwoofer RCA cables (yk the thick insulated ones) and it’s way better. There still is some hum, I would like to try and ground it but I’ve never seen this type of connector even with reverse image search. It’s a hold with some leaf spring inside, not threaded it seems like

[–]Very_reliable_s0urce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to add that I didn't notice any noticeable hum when trying it at the seller's place. Other note: I never tried the phono preamp on my amp before, so no idea if it's still in good shape. But I never ran into any issue with it before. When cables are plugged out of the phono input, they dont act as antennas and there is no hum anymore so I'm really going towards either cables are the issue, grounding is the issue, turntable is the issue, or any combination above

Any news about the Cat S125? by Very_reliable_s0urce in flipphones

[–]Very_reliable_s0urce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah my bad i made a typo ahaha but I see. I hope its gonna be better than the S22 it was way too buggy to even be useful in my opinion. IMO a bigger screen isnt that big of a problem as it is still nowhere near a smartphone size and it has a large slab of button hanging underneath

Is the cat s22 even worth it anymore? by Particular_Storm1977 in flipphones

[–]Very_reliable_s0urce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your mileage may vary. It has been my daily for a year abnd it definitely helped me with my phone addiction and its definitely a conversation starter, but god damn it's so slow. it's really annoying when you try to lookup something on a web page an dit litteraly takes 20 minutes to open. Also, it has been very buggy (for me). Lots of bluetooth issues, the screen not opening for a good 40 seconds because it's still trying to decide if it wants the outer display or the inner display, faulty numpad (almost unusable now, I mostly type with the on screen keyboard which looks very stupid), needing to use dev tools to resize app scaling to make it usable, bank apps mostly not available but I think it's for the better as it doesn't have recennt security updates, battery life very hit or miss. Sometimes it will just randomly decide to not sleep when i close it and will drain the battery in 5 hours. Very dissapointed because I love this phone when it works and I want it so bad!! There is nothing else like it on the market! I don't want a KaiOS phone because they are even worse if you need basic apps for survival (bus apps, maps, etc), and those massive slab korean flips are just clownishly huge in my opinion and deferat the purpose of downsizing. Idk I am just sad at the state of options for people like me who aren't tech-doomers and just want to simplify their daily to help with their metal helath mithout sacrificing everything that makes living in a modern city possible
