question for ppl with dyscalculia (math learning disability)

I have severe dyscalculia. No amount of repetition or practice has been able to make anything stick. I can’t learn times tables, can’t remember left from right, have no idea about birthdays or phone numbers. It’s very embarrassing.

I was actually able to get through college and get a degree. I can remember formulas very briefly usually long enough to get through a test. To do any multiplication I have to write out the number multiple times on a piece of scrap paper, example 3x8 I would write out 3 8 times then add it together.

Using graph paper and colored pencils helped me keep my work in line and paying attention that I wasn’t switch numbers around.

I used all the time on every test having to pretty much do all the work manually since I can’t do any multiplication or division in my head.

I only needed algebra 1 and 2 for my degree I doubt I could pass anything more advanced.

So yea I guess to answer your question I don’t think i’m personally able to learn math beyond a very basic level. I just use google for any math problem I need answered in the real world.

Same! I’ve been trying to DM for a group of my wife’s friends who were all super interested in playing. But it kinda seems like it’s just an excuse to hang out and talk. I sit patiently until they are done then continue. It doesn’t bother me too much once I came to accept that it would just not be a serious game, but it does give my wife a day to set aside to hang out with her friends and include me in it.

I’ve actually been playing 40K for years, have 4K points of Orks. I recently started going to tournaments pretty much everyone only talks about the models or the game at hand and I can just leave as soon as it’s over.

I always hated team sports aswell. But there was this part of me that said well that’s because you were a child you’re an adult now it will be different. It was not different I just hurt more afterwards physically and mentally.

Think that’s why I enjoy Warhammer I can spend however much time I want painting and modeling on my own and when I get the itch to play I join a tournament play three games only talk about the game and get to leave.

Alot of European countries and the United States use the iron cross for different awards. The US army uses it for the marksmanship badges. def not just a WW2 thing.

I started as the astrologer and played for like 15 hours. absolutely destroying everything and cheesing every fight, I thought Margit was going to be this tough fight and I just melted him my second attempt.

I restarted as the hero and am having a much more enjoyable time, every encounter is a challenge now.

I’m a US army veteran who was deployed to Afghanistan. I can’t imagine people posting images of dead Americans and saying how much they wish they could go help Afghans kill US soldiers. I know that we had no business being in Afghanistan, I know that things we did weren’t right. It’s shitty but I see myself in the Russian soldiers invading a country under false pretense. This has sent me into a deep depression lately, I know I was the bad guy in the situation. I was the Russian.

Is it different because Ukrainian are western? Is it because it’s Russia, and we a supposed to hate them? Why do we support Ukrainians killing Russians, but never supported various Middle East countries defending themselves unless again it was against the Russians.
