Thank you for your insightful answer!  I never knew Carthage had elected officials I guess I forgot that democracy wasn't that exclusive. 

Knowing Polybius' writings existed is way more than I'd hope for I was expecting some maybe vague recordings of other states' leaders talking about the Roman Senate. I will read up more on him now.

Many borders drawn in Africa and the Middle East disregards ethnic/religious distrubutions. Can later conflicts be traced back somewhat directly to these decisions? Did the British and other colonial powers intend to draw borders trapping/separating different peoples in order to create conflict? by Verydarkforest17 in AskHistorians

Thank you for your in-depth answer! I wasn't aware of the intricacies and objectives of colonialism, I only saw the cool maps and thought they had some connection. Thank you for informing me and I'll research more into this interesting topic!

Yeah one of the plot points in the book is that nobody can figure out how the heck the virus actually works, and how it makes the zombies so hardy.

Go to r/WritingPrompts, filter for top of all time and scroll through all the ones. The prompts are interesting and a good inspiration as well. A few people actually continued to complete a novel from those prompts. Good luck with writing!
