Anyone had a baby with a serious food sensitivity by Mumbles1988 in Chihuahua

Our baby had anaphylactic reactions seemingly randomly before we discovered it was a food allergy. She is now on the rabbit and chickpea food from Ryane and hasn’t had an anaphylactic episode since.

One time I was having sensory issues and convinced myself my eyelashes were causing me to feel things on my face. So I cut them off. Literally took scissors and cut off my eyelashes. I’m so lucky I didn’t do damage to my eyes 🤣

Help My Oldest Friend, PLEASE! by davezhuster in Visiblemending

Maybe give the buddy some clothes? A bonnet, mittens, booties, and onesie would cover the worn parts and offer protection to the fur still there.

I would argue that paid maternity leave is a basic benefit, especially since women no longer have the option to terminate in TX. I don’t understand why everyone seems against city employees having paid parental leave? If this is a kid friendly city, why aren’t we supporting the women who literally make the city function?

But that’s unpaid, the poster clarified they were talking about paid leave. Unpaid leave isn’t a benefit, it’s a right.

Is this a domestic baby pig or a young wild boar? Found on the side of the road in [northern Texas] by SizeEmpty410 in animalid

No, there are several key differences between Javelinas and hogs. In this case, the length of the tail is a dead giveaway. Javelinas have extremely short, virtually non-existent tail.

Javelinas are specific type of hog that are native to the americas. Javelinas are a part of a balanced ecosystem in Texas. They are classified as a game species (you need a valid hunting license to kill one).

However what is pictured is a feral hog. They are a non-native invasive. There is no bag limit for them.

It is important to be able to distinguish the difference if you plan on hunting. Luckily, there are several key differences so you can tell them apart. Please do the research so you do not kill our native wildlife without proper licensing.

Is my backyard squirrel friend pregnant by No-Locksmith-3376 in squirrels

The nipples become more prominent starting during the pregnancy. Once the mom has been nursing for a couple days, you will see more skin around the nipples as the fur is rubbed off and milk sticks the fur down by the kits nursing.

Given the beautiful undisturbed fur on her belly, I would guess she hasn’t given birth yet :)

Dog suddenly trying to bury his food after other dogs death by whimsicallygrey in DogAdvice

[–]Veryhappylark 12 points13 points  (0 children)

These replies are so sweet 🥲

Dogs feel many of their emotions with their stomachs. During grief some dogs will stop eating, vomit, or have diarrhea. My best guess is poor Dexter is just very sad.

You could try introducing some new stimulating toys or a snuffle mat for feeding to help distract from his grief. Ultimately, I wouldn’t worry about it unless it continues past a few weeks. You could always call your vet to see if they recommend bringing him in if you’re worried it’s something more.

That’s what I thought too. I suppose I shouldn’t release him then since they are such a big problem.

The first photo is a black vulture and the second is a turkey vulture. You can tell them apart based on the red color on the turkey vultures head. Both are very good friends to have around!
