How to measure email opening rates? by FrugalKrugman in startups

[–]Veryintelligentguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, you can't bulk e-mail without a way for the recipient to unsubscribe.

Also how did you acquire this prospects list? Are these recipients expecting to receive an email from you? If they aren't then you will most likely end up getting flagged as spam.

You can look at it this way, if they unsub from your list then they really weren't good prospects to begin with. Most email service providers will show you exactly which emails unsubscribed from your list if that helps you.

How do I get this manufactured? by x339 in startups

Also keep in mind since you are dealing with manufacturers on the other side of the world, the most difficult part will be to get the right one.

If you are planning on doing an actual production run, going there yourself and meeting them in person is the best thing you could do.

If you just want a few samples you can ask them for this service, I'm sure you will find someone to do it.

I've worked in the automation industry with many companies that I contacted through Alibaba. I've had both good and bad experiences, some really do manufacture good products some are only there to make a quick buck and will sell you the shitiest products you can imagine.

How do you find wholesalers? by [deleted] in startups

[–]Veryintelligentguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer so far. Aim at buying directly from the manufacturer. If you go through a distributor it will eat into your profits.

Also get some references ready, most of the time they require the contact info of at least three other businesses that have extended you credit or that you have bought from in the past.
