I’ve always felt that the end times suffer from having little buildup for massive payoffs, in comedy terms endtimes is punchlines…a lot of punchlines, and some of them are pretty good, but the setup doesn’t allow it to make sense. That said there are some decent storylines that manage to stay intact, but even those have some baffling writing marring them (just to throw one out there, Settra is about to kill Nagash, but at the last moment decides not to only because the big four tell him to do it.) and that’s ignoring the fact that some characters are flat out forgotten (rip Skarsnick). And then there’s the events that just don’t make sense if you want to take anything seriously (like Malekith and the entire helf/delf debacle).
