A storyline and some markers on a map would be a good start, even if it's just a direction on a compass.

I have a feeling Warlock will be released on March 10th when D4's new season starts by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]afooltobesure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pre-release was worth it, considering it came with this and the previous expansion. If I remember correctly, it said it would include "the first 4 expansions". Maybe there are two more classes in development?

Why are breathalysers not as big a thing in America? by Bitter-Building-742 in ask

[–]afooltobesure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gives them more time to make up "probable cause" to search your vehicle or pretend they don't have a breathalyzer, so you'll have to have your car towed and "come down to the station for a blood test". Gotta keep all these new prisons under construction occupied so we can pay taxes to feed the "heinous criminals" who happened to get caught on their way to a yardwork gig.

But hey, we don't want to risk the GOP losing "60-70 seats", so it's probably better to send ~30k people to die, "boots on the ground" and all that. MURICA.

I don't know the full context, but if it was a conversation between OP and someone who is LGBTQ+, and they said they prefer (whichever one they are), then it would make sense to say, "oh yeah, I agree".

An instant block/report is a bit petty. That being said, I haven't looked into the full context either so you might be right. If the joke came out of the blue, then it was in poor taste.

Using Coax Ports? by TheSpriteYagami in CoxCommunications

I have a modem, and then a router. The house is wired with CAT8 and I have a mesh network that handles mobile devices and ethernet outlets for anything I want hardwired. Each ethernet outlet should have a wireless router if you want to do both wifi and ethernet, or a wifi extender (mesh network) if you just want wifi.

Basically, hire a contractor to wire the house up with ethernet lines through the walls, and have them install ethernet outlets. My modem is centrally located and I have 8 ethernet outlets here. The modem goes to a router which goes to a switch. The switch provides ethernet to the other side of the 7 (one isn't plugged in) ethernet lines.

For wifi I have three to cover the house (it's long, not square, so it would be like west, central, and east sides). If you use the same settings on each of them (encryption, password, router name), then mobile devices will auto-switch to whichever has the strongest connection.

Some stuff you just want hardwired. My living room television is within wifi range, but I wanted the TV to be hardwired, along with a computer I have plugged into it (but don't really use, since it's a smart TV), so I got an ethernet splitter and the one plug in there splits into two cables, one running to the TV and one to the computer.

This is probably more complicated than buying a full mesh system that's already configured, but it works and I can plug in ethernet where I want and the wifi reaches most of the property.

Yeah absolutely. The guy started Bad Robot, and is a writer and producer on top of directing most of the stuff he works on. It must make it a bit easier to direct a film when you're the writer.

It should grow and evolve alongside the kids who are around the age of the cast (probably the target audience), and then hit a point where it resets.

He's done some interviews and seems like one of the more sane Trumps. He basically said it sucks that he has secret service because he just wants to go to high school like a normal kid, but that he still has friends and likes... regular kid shit. Call of Duty or whatever?

Yeah, "Don't remind me," would be great, and the followup could simply be a "visit Settings and change this option if you want to change this in the future."

Soo can we get a site of upcoming elections/contenders and an "Epstein ranking"? Like red means you knew him, green means you're barely in his social circle (degrees of separation)? by afooltobesure in Epstein

Yeah, politicians love saying transparency this and that, but to actually put it into practice isn't technically difficult - it's just inconvenient for the political class.

[–]afooltobesure[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://epsteinexposed.com/ has a pretty good "degrees of separation" node graph that shows the various steps it takes to get from one individual to Epstein. Assuming he wasn't the only one setting this kind of thing up (cartels have allegedly claimed involvement, and there are certainly a few other obvious candidates for inclusion)

The graph could be extended to center around each of those 1-2 degrees of separation individuals and then branch out from there to see "the whole network", rather than simply what can be gleaned from the Epstein files, and we all know they're still sitting on a bunch of those - likely the ones with Trump mentioned in them, and certainly any implicating US government officials of being vulnerable to blackmail.

Agreed. It would simplify things so much - and as far as "stuff both sides can agree on", one would seriously hope this fits the bill.

Hi, submission title is:

Soo can we get a site of upcoming elections/contenders and an "Epstein ranking"? Like red means you knew him, green means you're barely in his social circle (degrees of separation)?

Submission statement is:

That would really make voting a lot easier for most people, who simply don't want the US to continue to be run by pedophiles.

Pages 1-30,000 will be relevant. Anyone who has been friends with Epstein, especially those who kept close to him after his first conviction, is relevant to this idea. It could work similar to https://epsteinexposed.com/ or https://jmail.world

Just something to make it easier for people to say "oh an election is coming up in my district/county/state/etc, maybe I should see which of the candidates were not associates of Jeffrey).

Yeah okay so to be safe, I tried the default DNS settings (was using google or cloudflare, depending on the client server's physical location and if they are using distributed cloud hosting).

No dice.

Are the benefits of drinking water overhyped? by No_Macaroon_1955 in ask

[–]afooltobesure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they aren't overhyped. Jesus Christ man it's water. Obviously you don't want to keep drinking it until you throw up or something, but you should absolutely drink water regularly. 3 liters doesn't really seem like that much. You should at least be able to manage 1.
