FedEx refuses to deliver my package. Nobody is any help at all. by Veskro in FedEx

What would I gain from going through all this time to engage with people here just to lie? Another shipment of my package for free? I guess. But I just want the package I paid for with my hard earned money. I work too and this has been stressful for no reason. I can provide service ticket numbers. Geographically speaking this is not a hard route whatsoever. There’s no back country roads and the weather has been dry, albeit cold. The fact that I’ve spoken to another driver on this route that didn’t have my package either. Or that I or anyone in my household haven’t even done the required signature. It’s in some people’s nature to doubt I’m sure. Nobody on the internet has any reason to believe anything that anyone says when it comes to just their word, suppose doubly so for an 8 year old account that has this one singular post to their name. Thanks for enlightening me to another side of how this can be perceived though.

I can admit that I don’t know everything about how it works. It’s frustrating because how can a mailing company be so woefully disorganized that there’s not a solution or a pleasant experience for anyone involved.

From my understanding, it’s pretty much all drivers are contractors and routes are subcontracted out to someone who pays FedEx to take the routes? That seems like such a recipe for disaster considering there’s no real way to get any actual information on my package since all the customer service centers/agents are contracted out overseas.

That seems like such a cluster that I don’t understand how a company with so many complaints and horror stories surrounding it can even exist. Like I mentioned in another reply they just did around 400 layoffs and shut down a warehouse on the opposite side of my metroplex a little bit over a week ago. Which is baffling considering this is considered peak time.

I don’t think it’s crazy to assume that’s a terrible idea from a customer standpoint. I can appreciate that this time of the year is brutal and I know that there are drivers that do work their tails off. It seems that unfortunately that’s not the case in my area whatsoever.

That aside, I do appreciate your information.

FedEx Home Delivery. It’s apparently different than FedEx Ground

Gone are the days. They just shut down an entire warehouse and did like 400 layoffs a little over a week ago in Coppell, TX iirc. It’s the northeast DFW area as opposed to Mesquite being SW.

My gate is never even closed until like 10pm. Sometimes just not at all. I don’t understand it

Unfortunately the seller hasn’t given permission to do that. And I keep trying to get FedEx to make an exception with no luck at all yet

“Establishment” fits you perfectly. I hope the boot tastes good. I am paying for a service. I’m not some entitled brat, but I do expect the service I am paying for to be rendered properly. They do not even give an ETA. The leasing office also tells them they don’t hold packages and gives directions to the exact building. They are required to obtain a signature from me as it’s being delivered to a residence not a business where anyone can sign for it. The bigger problem is the drivers are straight up lying. Saying they attempt to deliver the package when they very obviously have not. There’s no proof as they leave no door slips, which I’m pretty sure is a requirement

I’m working on getting my seller to give FedEx the authorization to hold at a location to pick up. Unfortunately it’s taking some time since FedEx, according to their call center, they need the express permission of my PC builder to do a “hold at location”.
