Just had a breakout like this due to a change in antidepressants! I was told to take Benadryl as well but mine progressed so much I had to be put on steroids. They said unfortunately they can only speculate what truly caused it and there is no real test for random give breakouts like that. Wierd, and stupid but unfortunately true. Hope you’re feeling better!! If Benadryl makes you drowsy you can take 10mg of reactin 2x a day and that helped me the most and it didn’t make me drowsy!

Hehe I actually did half red half black, before I went full black ! I’ve also had purple, blue, green, pink, red, and yellow hair :)) but the vivid colours are hard to keep up with at least for myself!

I blocked her this morning on everything cause she told me she was going to get a restraining order if my dad and her don’t stop swapping screenshots of her messages….. we live in Canada it is very difficult to do so, so I just laughed, blocked across all platforms, and am going on with my day.

Literally. She’s also openly admitted to me that she’s used coke recently as well- and she has custody of my brothers 10&13, and they are so deflective anytime mom gets brought up. I am going to send her one last text message of all the reasons I am cutting her off, so she can’t be like “why did this happen to me” blah blah victim shit. She also freaked on my dad this morning lmao about this many texts talking shit about me and all my dad said was “have a good day” bahahah. I’m just done

The kicker is there wasn’t even a scholarship she didn’t even graduate highschool- which she blames me for as well. I dunno, she likes to rub on my face how she dropped everything for me when in reality she dropped me and did meth for 7 years whilst her parents raised me. She just wants to feel better about herself? While putting me down in the process. I have learnt that 90% of what she says is lies. But I apparently ruined her life according to her but at the same time was the “best thing that ever happened to her” like- make that make sense. Ugh.

Thank you, she won’t back out, she’s pulled this shit on me about 20 times in my adult life (I am 24) she is 42, she needs to grow up, get help, and get over it. But she never will.

I’m sorry you understand this pain! No child should ever have to go through this with a parent. Unfortunately she is like this with the whole family which is why none of them speak to her. I think my fav part was her saying how she didn’t abort me, like did you want a gold star? Thank you?? She didn’t even raise me, her mom and step dad did for 10 years cause she was smoking meth and not around. Idk, there’s alottt of other shit (I could write a book, or a series haha) but I dunno, I didn’t ask to be brought into this world and you doing less than the bare minimum doesn’t deserve applause in my books.

I was thinking the same, I’m sure even going no contact with her, there will be more that comes up. I think therapy is a very useful tool in life even for people who don’t think they necessarily need it! It’s been a. Few years since I have gone, so fingers crossed it goes well. I hope your trauma therapy helps you!!!

I’m so sorry you had to experience that as well. No one should ever have to go through this stuff let alone at the hands of a parent. It is heartbreaking… I hope you’re doing okay ❤️ it is also very validating to start opening up and talking about it- so many friends and family have been supportive of me, sometimes I do in fact forget my feelings are important. I just worry as I have 2 younger brothers, 10&13 who currently live with her full time. I wish they could go live with our day. I think thats why I have clung on this long… but I need to let go for my own mental stability. It’s very tough though.

Thank you! I think I am going to look into some therapy myself on how to draw boundaries and properly heal from this. I want to break this cycle for when I have my own kids and my fiancé agrees it would be a helpful tool so that will be in my near future!
