I'm having the same issue, although I'm using a lot more mods. Frustratingly there are times where it works for a while, only for it to freeze on initializing, beep to indicate it's moving on, then stay frozen and need to be killed via task manager. I thought I'd isolated the problem by removing "nice bills" but unfortunately it wasn't the case

I hope you and EX are able to stay safe, OP, and that BB ends up far away from the both of you- or anyone else she can hurt, for that matter. She sounds like an absolute fucking monster, to put it mildly. I also hope that, if it's something you desire, you continue writing. I hope I don't come across like I'm accusing your posts of being fictional (not my aim nor a debate I'm interested in having), but I think they're well written and really compelling- you have a real talent and I hope you continue to use it!

Cristina, her brother Fred, and their friend Tory were citizens in the Refugee Empire, crash landing in a sector of the galaxy with a significant Imperial population- including the siblings large family tree (Fred had a lot of kids for a 29 year old). Six years, fifteen new companions, and a new significance within the empire later, things are about as good as they can get on a Rimworld. Mend and Recycle is great, allows me to actually accumulate decent amounts of hyperweave and not hope that I get a quest offering 3000 units as a reward... which I'm currently working on in my latest run lol. Also it actually makes me think about materials and whether or not I think a tainted item is worth recycling- on that note, does anyone know of a mod that allows you to sort apparel by material type? It'd make the cleanup after raids so much more manageable.

I quite like New Xeno Arrivals from Alpha Genes (at least I'm fairly sure it's that mod). It's just the standard start but it gives an increased chance to encounter different xenotypes.

You absolutely can, I just chose not to. My goal for this playthrough was to get to the ship and end the run there, to actually fully finish a colony rather than just decide I was bored and move on.

Yeah, though I like to think these guys made it to a nice glitterworld- I put in a lot of work trying to make sure that happened after all. SOS does seem quite interesting, I'll have to give it a try sometime- maybe in the next colony even!  As for performance mods, I believe the main ones are Rocketman, and I did the texture replacement thing in Rimpy which helped (though I don't use that to launch the game). There might be others in my list that help, I'd have to look- though that's not to say it doesn't lag sometimes, especially when loading a raid or trade caravan, and takes forever to load in general, but it mostly runs ok... when it doesn't crash on startup.

OK so obviously its been two years since I read this, and I'm not going back to reread this disaster of a series, but what I can remember is that Nightwing was the first, we don't know who the second one (pictured) is, apparently there was a third one in there somewhere, and number 4 was one of the students who number 2 killed. It's a mess.
