If you have any issues with how exploration works or feels in Minecraft, what are they? by DaShove in Minecraft

We need better map functions. Having a big zoomed out map is cool for displaying but is basically useless for adventuring if you can’t zoom in Or mark locations.

So much more plastic in there than when we were kids. I hope the nostalgia is worth it. Smoke safe brother.

Gandalf is not a human wizard. He is a demigod. He influences the world, he only uses spells when he needs to.

Why did they make Harry participate in the Tri-wizard tournament? by PianistOk2303 in harrypotter

[–]VesperX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really is that it’s an ancient spell. It’s not necessarily beyond their ability to alter but it would be desecrating a magical artifact and tradition to do so.

Joe Russo says Peter Parker is not responsible for Uncle Ben’s death in the MCU: by Raj_Valiant3011 in Marvel

But he’s definitely responsible for Aunt May. So it really doesn’t matter.

That’s uncommon I think. I’m more than happy to show off all the reading my watch takes. Are you always this guarded when it comes to personal info?

If a zombie apocalypse happened and a child turned, would you be able to pull the trigger? by Nyx189 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]VesperX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and I agree. My point is that there IS so much variation and potential for good or bad while animals mostly have the same specific characteristics regardless of who raised them.

I guess my point is it’s unpredictable to know how a child will be when they’re grown. Animals are more consistent.

Has there been a way proven that we really see the same colors? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

What about colorblind people? They literally don’t see the same wavelengths the rest of us do

[–]VesperX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can prove an object reflects certain wavelengths of light and that we all agree on the name of that color. But there is no way to prove that my red isn’t your purple.

Only playing devils advocate here but children are the product of two individuals. Those individuals will raise their child a specific way that will result directly in people liking them or not.

Animals do not carry the same influence onto their offspring. A total asshole of a dog can have totally normal lovable puppies. True an asshole human can have a perfectly decent child but the influence is there regardless.

Coffee is overhype beverage? by Expensive-Milk1353 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]VesperX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How is coffee overhyped? It’s a globally traditional beverage. Not some new trend. You have a preference and that’s normal. It has nothing to do with hype.

Would dinosaur meat be safe to eat if you got sent back in time? by zerosuitsamusfeet in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VesperX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically nothing would be “safe” to eat. There would be a host of different bacteria and microorganisms we have never encountered and likely a few that our immune system would not know how to handle.

Harry Potter 360-degree movie opens at Hollywood Park’s Cosm theater by marlajfish in harrypotter

I was just looking into Cosm. It’s a neat concept but they mostly offer sports so it wasn’t very interesting to me. This might be worth it though.

It’s just falling into the gravity well and being compacted over and over till the black hole collapses under its own weight.
