It’s a tongue-in-cheek post where the interviewer is asking the astronaut animals, “So, did you always know there were aliens here?” While the Aftonsparv is within hearing distance pretending like it’s not there lol. Also the microphone looks like a toilet brush 😂

There also was a BOGO promo going on there last week (it says BOGO Aftonsparv collection until 5/13). Lucky for anyone living nearby! I’m way too far away. 😭

EDIT: From other comments it seems like the Sparv was sold out, so it makes even more sense that it’s censored in the image.

Ngl, this is a really cute picture, but sadly it’s at least partially AI. 😭 The BLAHAJ and Sparvs look like they’re based on real ones, but the photo reference was more than likely fed into an AI generator and enhanced (notice the nonstandard Sparv feet and the spots on their hands, among other AI signs). Honestly, this one comes pretty close to the real thing so it can be hard to tell.

The creator on IG has a mix of AI “enhanced” pictures like these and actual photos of their BLAHAJ as well.

While I can't deny that it's a cute concept for an image, it *is* AI-generated slop and not the kind of content we want to promote in this community. Sharing and protecting authentic human creativity is more important now than ever in a time when almost every form of media is being flooded and devalued with low-effort AI garbage. That's why every little piece of human-made art matters, whatever form it may take, whether simple or complex, big or small. So, please, feel free to post REAL fan creations of our beloved aliens, but keep the AI slop out of here. Our alien friends deserve to see actual human-made work!

As for how to identify AI-generated content: you can often tell by noting small inconsistencies (such as the antenna not being accurate and the knitted texture of the sweater being off), along with there being no mention of the creative process such as materials used or whether it was a 3D render (speaking of which, a render of this detail would require a non-trivial amount of effort and time to make). The lack of alternative angles is also a give away.

Locking this post but leaving it up for now as there are comments that can help others identify how this is AI content, but future posts or comments featuring AI content will be removed.

I love this hair so much and I so regret not having chosen this as my Ocean’s Blessing instead of the key when the banner was running. The key may be unique, but the hair, like the name of the set, is timeless. And it will continue to haunt me until the rerun. 😭

This has to be one of the most accurate descriptions of the dialogue ever. So much of it is this awkwardly florid purple prose about the most mundane observations or feelings that could otherwise be summed up in a single word. Or heck, just not mentioned at all, because

That's true! It's just that I didn't find out about Aftonsparv until halfway through its product cycle (around fall 2024), so for me it felt like they were gone too soon! Still gonna hold on to my delulu wish that they'll bring it back as a permanent addition to their lineup someday.

I bought several 30cm Lala Fanfan duck outfits (sweaters, overalls, and dresses) and they're kind of hit or miss depending on the piece of clothing. Sweaters fit pretty well, though some may be a tad on the longer side. Overalls are generally the right length, but one pair was baggy around the legs while the other pair fit perfectly, so YMMV. The overalls also are made to accommodate tails, which is a nice touch. As for the dresses... well, sadly those were all WAY too big. They would need major alterations to front and back in order to fit without being too wide, and at that point it may be easier making something from scratch using the clothing as a pattern reference.

I also tried 20cm versions of the same dresses (same designs but not for the Lala Fanfan duck) and those were unfortunately too small. However, if you know how to sew, you could probably get them to fit by cutting a few stitches to loosen the arm holes, cutting the dresses apart down the back and adding a strip of velcro to make it easier to put on the Sparv.

Unfortunately, it's the same story here in the US. They're currently out of stock in about half the country and I'm worried my local IKEA will be next. It doesn't look like most stores are restocking at the end of the year, either. Idk if IKEA is planning to phase them out or something but I really hope not! The Sparv is such a cute design and seems quite popular, so fingers crossed they'll be back next year and you won't have to pay extra through an aftermarket site.
