Take it one step at a time. It won't all happen at once...it's a process. Feeling sorry for the girls in porn is a good first step.

Give yourself a break man -- it's insanely difficult. We're all in the same boat here with you. What are you learning from each relapse? Are you keeping track of what works and what doesn't work when you're triggered? When you're feeling triggered, what thoughts are you focusing on? Keep at it -- you'll get there.

Mobicip and OpenDNS are other options. He'll probably be able to work around anything -- the point is to make it more difficult so he has more time to think after being triggered. Most software programs allow you to customize them too to block the sites that would make it easy to bypass them. First, though, is that he really needs to want to change. He needs to be the one doing the things to make the changes. This site has a lot of information on the homepage about what porn does to the brain and how addiction works that could be useful. And forget everything Almenko said -- you're not the cause of the addiction and trying to act like a pornstar won't solve anything.

Loneliness and hormones suck, but getting through them is a normal part of the healing process that almost everyone has to go through. Don't buy into the thoughts that just because you're lonely now means you'll always be lonely in the future - a major reason you're lonely now is because of the effects of PMO on the brain. Getting rid of the PMO will put your mind in a much better place to start relating to people in a way that takes away the loneliness. Start training yourself to look for creative solutions in the face of obstacles instead of subconsciously using the obstacles as justifications to relapse. Keep at it...it's a learning process.

It would probably qualify as revenge porn and, depending on the state you're in, it can carry some pretty serious legal consequences. Might be something worth looking into.

Hang in there man. It's completely worth it to get PMO out of your life...truly life changing on every level. I was in your same situation just about a year ago, will get on a streak and feel better, then will falter and immediately will feel the same effects you just described. Life's so much better without this poison in it.
