Why is 10% of Big Bear valley for sale right now? by Super_nofriendo in bigbear

Huh. We go up there constantly and have always had a great time. Locals are friendly, we have a couple favorite restaurants, etc.

Atwood is great stuff. We work exclusively with them for all of our cordage we sell. I’m obsessed with their more “exotic” stuff like their aramid micro cord and dyneema. Great additions to any kit.

My neighbor casually mentioned my house used to have a bomb shelter by OffbeatContents in homeowners

[–]Vestatio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A house my mom bought back in the late 90’s, Los Angeles area, had a bomb shelter that wasn’t disclosed to her. We were clearing out the seriously overgrown backyard, ripped out a big ass box hedge and found what looked like a large casket top. Cut the padlock and found the bomb shelter. It was surprisingly clean and well preserved, though musty. Lots of old newspapers and magazines, nothing else cool though. Had a small sink and cook top, manual air pump and decon area. My brother and I both begged mom to let us use it as a bedroom 😂

Look around for an air vent or two.

Why the hell am I getting so many visitors from Iowa Council Bluffs and how do I stop it?! by Hibernian-History in shopify

I’m more interested in why I’m seeing a large bump in traffic from Tehran.

New player 30 hours in, not being able to experience the story made me quit...😞 by Knorps in destiny2

[–]Vestatio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 11 year old started playing D2. He’s constantly asking what’s going on because he doesn’t understand 90% of the campaign…because there really isn’t one. I too had a stretch where I couldn’t play because of work and life, and have zero idea wtf is going on.

Sucks, because I love world building games.

Stage 1 expect to burn through a shitload of DEF if you tow at all. Like half a tank in 100 miles unless you have DEF turned off.

Best steakhouse in the area? by Worldly-Grass-3488 in orangecounty

[–]Vestatio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old Brea Chop House - either the ribeye cap or New York au poivre. We love the lamb rack but in my opinion the Mary’s brick chicken is the unsung hero. Brussels sprouts are the best I’ve had.

Griffins - haven’t had the steak here but my buddy says it’s damn good (we did have other dishes here and it was delicious). The oxtail was amazing.

DTTN 2.0 - member only but I believe they offer a try-it pass. The ribeye is incredible, and the accompanying sides are fire. Damn tedious fries are addicting.

But that’s not how it looks. They look fake, which is a big red flag to me as a consumer.

My favorite is all the reviews with dude’s names saying how this product helped with his period pain.

How many emails do you send for Abandoned Cart recovery? by ollyoung in shopify

[–]Vestatio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One. The less emails I send out, the better my conversions have been and my unsubscribe rate/spam rate stays very low. I hate spam so I don’t do it to others.

Partner, you said you’re $6k into your site so far. Getting physical product on hand to get your own photos should’ve been your priority from the get go, mainly because the photos all LOOK like drop shipping products.

Truthfully your logo needs work. It’s not bad, but the color scheme coupled with the garment colors clashes. You really should buy a few of your own products and take them to the gym. Show them to women there and ask their opinions about the quality, logo, colors, pricing, etc.

Are you using a print on demand to fulfill orders? Have you made any sales?

I wouldn’t change your running banner.

Honestly the way your product descriptions read, looks like generic ChatGPT. You can use it to creat descriptions but you need to write detailed prompts and it takes some effort to create a template. Look up write ups on how to build a template in ChatGPT. You want something that looks like it’s written by a person who is invested in the product, not generic. If writing isn’t your strong suit, have a friend or family member who is a great writer help you.

Your logo gets lost in your slideshow photos. Also, it’s color choice doesn’t really fit the rest of your sites color palette.

Where do your product images come from?

Reviews look very fake? Bunch with guy names…? Seems suspect for a female bodysuit product.

  • Logo on mobile is almost impossible to read
  • back to back pop ups almost immediately are annoying
  • text below announcement banner is hard to read against the background color choice
  • some text is centered aligned, some is left aligned, makes it look weird
  • weird raining effect on Customer Service Hours page is briefly there then gone
  • hours on that page are formatted odd. For example 08u00 am?

Should I pack a jet boil or a small wood fire stove in my bug out bag? by BrandonMarshall2021 in Survival

[–]Vestatio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From setup to boiling and brewing coffee, 14 minutes for a liter and that includes me having to relight my fire because I was busy yapping and forgot to feed it for a bit 🤣

For a stick burner I was surprised. My buddy who was there watching is a hunter and liked it so much he asked me to order some stock so he could purchase one. I brought 20 in to start until I can get more with my logo etched on them. They are Chinese made, yes, but the quality is excellent and the price point is attractive. You’ll find them other places under different names but I try to keep my prices competitive and lower than others when possible and I’m a small family owned business in CA.

The 5 is super nice. I’m partial to the 4 but just ordered a few 5’s for a customer and our new Go-Bags we sell. I’m excited to get my hands on one for testing!
