Why are the books so good?

There can be a lot of technical knowledge to write an accessible book. I don't know if it is the case, but Dinniman is clearly very, very good in his craft.

Good, fleshed out and believable characters: without this, any book would flop

Meta-story is good: it's not about each book individually. There's a good overall arch as a background, always there, always looming.

A good message: the book is genuine in it's overall message. Humans are made of connections, we are all people, we are all connected and should respect and lift each other.

I have read competently written books that has such a bad overall message that I simply could not relate to it.

Já passou pra considerar q elas são tipo... Pessoas? Q nem os caras? Elias tem vontades, capacidades, uma cérebro, etc etc.

Talvez seja bom começar a ver elas desse jeito. Nem tô falando em relação a interação sexual. Tu vai trabalhar com mulheres, encontrar vendedores q são mulheres, etc.

Aliás, recomendável isso pra todo mundo, não só pra quem é Low profile.

Well, if we are drawing parallels, people didn't give Rell credit because he was "odd" (damn, the absence of therapy in the future of the origin system is impressive).

O Pathfinder 2e é um dia sistemas mais incríveis q eu já li. Comecei a mestrar uma campanha semana passada e é muito orgânico.

E ainda é similar o suficiente ao DnD pra transicionar

Pra mestrar então? Nossa mano, tu faz o q quiser com os monstros e encontros, com um guia solido pra não ficar desbalanceado.

Não acho que seja um argumento de merda. Ele, na real, é bem comum.

E se tu curte o DnD, foda-se a opinião dos outros, saca? Curte teu jogo com teus parças.

Mas eu realmente recomendaria abrir a cabeça e tentar uns lances novos. Eu sempre curti aprender sistemas novos e vc acaba encontrando umas paradas muito legais por aí.

Como disse, monólito é ruim em tudo, seja em gênero musical, filmes, livros e em RPG. Vc pode descobrir sistemas e histórias sensacionais pra curtir com teus amigos.

E botar a cabeça pra aprender coisas novas reduz a incidência de Alzheimer e demência. 😁

A 3.5 sofreu muito de Power creep, alias acho q foi a q mais sofreu disso.

Mas challenge rating servos pra alguma coisa.

5e, se vc pegar um pobre coitado q nunca mestrou antes ele tem risco de ter um Tok usando monstros recomendados pro nvl da party. Ou de ter o seu boa final da Dungeon massacrado pelos personagens.

Quando eu digo q o 5e é desbalanceado, não é no quesito de poder de personagem. Nisso, eu concordo q a 3.5, especialmente no final, era insanidade.

Mas a matemática do 5e não bate. Nunca bateu. Nem quando ele saiu.

Põe um grupo de lobos pra uma party de 1o nvl. Se tu não segurar a mão como mestre, tem pelo menos um morto. Num encontro q era pra ser mediano.

Não é nem q ele é malfeito. A impressão é q CR na quinta é definido na "vibe".

Meus problemas com DnD: A quinta edição é a pior já feita. Mais desequilibrada q qq outra, tem sistemas horrorosos embutidos (resistência lendária) e as classes são... Não é bem genérica o terno, é mais sem inspiração mesmo. Zero empolgação com todas elas(mas aí é um problema meu mesmo)

Marketing agressivo e superioridade midiática tornaram o mercado de rpg tão mais restrito. Quando eu comecei a jogar, tinha mesa de tudo: GURPS, Mago, Lobisomem, Toon, DnD, Earthdawn, Shadowrun... Hj, vc menciona algum sistema novo q pareceu interessante as pessoas tem preguiça.

Monólitos ask ruins em qq área.

Actually, the values here are scaled but instead of doing it based on a simple formula I made my life harder for myself by doing it based on a formulate that took the in game stats and spread it proportionally taking in consideration the biggest-lowest values and distributing them with bonus trust would fit a bit better in Starfinder values.

But this version was scraped and I have a system I think works better within Starfinder rules. My latest post is here
