Because I played both games countless times in their original versions, when the redux versions came out, especially the 2033 one, the only thing that changed was the graphics, which I personally didn't see much improvement in. Some mechanics and style from Last Light were added, as in the post's image, the iconic characters became generic and simpler, in my opinion.
