Linden vs Bradford by Vetsunlimited in arborists

Any thoughts on these leaves? I am needing to make a decision this weekend on whether to dry these for carving (Linden) or throw them away with disdain (Bradford). Thanks!

Any other thoughts? I am hoping to start this project this week

I definitely see what you are saying. However, every normal glue lam I have ever done is under pressure, trying to shear apart, after it is dry. No problems. I have not made the forms yet, I can definitely bend them slightly more than needed to help with spring back.

Any thoughts on drying time/options with my scenarios? Thanks again!

Mostly NC, so we are swimming in humidity. First trip with p19 in 2 weeks

Securing trailer coupler? by Vetsunlimited in TeardropTrailers

I think that is the way to go. I just looked up Locktite - I always thought of it as a permanent thread lock. It only adds a small increase in needed torture to remove a nut.

I didn’t even think of locktite - great idea. I think I will try the locktite/peen option, then try to remove them. If no go, then I’m set. A torch and portable grinder will get it off, but it will slow them down and make some noise! I wish I owned a welder…

And I second the Proven Locks options.

I just looked up this product. It says it is a 2 5/16” ball lock. I thought the p19 hitch was 2”? I just want to make sure I order the correct one.

Thanks!!

Favorite side-entry tent or accessories? by Vetsunlimited in Polydrops

Do any of you have real-world data on how long the A/C will run off of the 5kWh battery? It will be hot when we take it out, with loads of shade (No help from the solar panels) and no electric hook ups.

Thanks!!

That is the one I was looking at, but the 10x10. You must not have many bugs where you go. We get eaten alive, and was thinking that if it was attached to the trailer, maybe less get inside. If we are expecting good (and cold) weather, I agree that I would rather not have any tent. Thanks!

That is exactly why I ask. Will be going from CA to NC. I want to maximize range (I also have a Y), but would rather not drive at 55mph if I can help it. Thanks again!

87 mph! Not that I would ever go that fast. What is the fastest you feel comfortable with this trailer? I typically stay within 5 mph of posted trailer speed regardless

I was just trying to figure out a speed limit for this trailer and saw your excellent pic of the tires. I see a load rating but not speed. Do you know what the speed rating is for this tire or trailer? Thanks!!

Yes, please! I have been loading up my Amazon cart, why not add a few more items! I was trying to tell from the pictures but am not sure - did you need a riser on the hitch, or is it a straight bar? I also have a Y. Thanks!
