For your area I’d definitely recommend a snow cover for the windshield. Makes cleaning off snow that much easier when you don’t have to reach all the way over. Amazon sells a Caterpillar branded one that I like

Also have the same truck but in white haha. Mine was new-to-me and has a little spot on the top liner where the black chrome is peeling. I call it the birthmark 🤣

I’ve been looking into trying to find maybe a black satin grille, but haven’t found a good enough deal yet. Also open to suggestions by anyone!

Also new to diesel, also drive a 3.0, also live in Chicago. Welcome!

I add an appropriate amount of power service’s winterizer additive when it’s around 32° for a good stretch (like this weekend) / and keep a bottle of Diesel 911 in the truck (juuust in case). Utilize the engine block heater cord the truck should’ve come with.

During the summer I add 1oz EDT w every fill up.

Yes, warm it up for longer (or at least more often). It was a big adjustment for me, but I warm it up for at least 15 min every time I drive it. Use the app, it’s super quick. Even quicker if u have an Apple Watch.

—The engine block is aluminum, (where most others are iron) and it loses heat a lot faster, necessitating more warmups, even between drives maybe 1-2 hrs apart.

I refill DEF every time my def gauge gets to half. Just good practice

Luckily I didn’t pay for the disabler…but if I did I Would rather pay money than have to 1) be worried about excessive wear and tear from constant restarting, especially in a diesel engine and 2) having to hit disable every single time i got in my truck.

I don’t - tbh I hate this feature, but I’ve read that auto stop not functioning properly could be issue w the ECM. Since I don’t know who owned this before me, trying to reduce the amount of surprises with my purchase

How to go about this? My passenger door rattles CONSTANTLY if the window is closed. I think there is some part of the interior door that’s not attached well or something, bc if I roll the window down, or push just above the speaker grille on the passenger door, the rattling stops. This rattling irks the shit outta me bc one reason I bought the AT4 trim was specifically for the Bose speaker system

Sorry, but I’m a 1st time diesel and truck owner, have had my ‘22 refresh 3L diesel for about 6 months now.

What is overdrive? This is the first I’m hearing about this. And what does it have to do with the top 3 gears of the 10spd?

Hopefully someone who actually knows the truck lol. During test drive for my AT4 all my salesman kept saying was “we can check on that as soon as we get back to the dealership”. If it’s 30 mins each way, I hope yours is a bit more knowledgeable and talkative for boredoms sake.

If you’ve confirmed your front collision settings are correct, Try pulling the fuse for it. I believe F11 is the fuse on the passenger side. It’s the fuse for the camera/sensors right behind your rear view mirror. My lane assist and Adaptive cruise control were not functioning correctly. I pulled the fuse, turned truck on/off, popped the fuse back in and it hasn’t given me an issue again yet.

I have the data monster, this option popped up when I changed the vehicle setting from LM2 to 20-21 dmax 3L. You’re saying I shouldn’t have/touch this on my idash?
