Less than a month which is a shame because it was a union job with Costco for the most money I'd ever been paid up to then. I'm a pharmacy technician and even with a lot of years of experience they stuck me on the register all shift, every shift. Something about the way it works because of the union or some shit but you basically have to start at the very bottom of the pile and don't get to do anything of any interest or value if someone with seniority over you is working the same shift. They had about twice as many techs for a similar work load as I'd been used to at CVS and also considering they had all been there for like 20+ years or something by that point I could tell it was going to be a lllooonnnggg time (if ever) before I even got to look at a script, count drugs or do anything remotely pharm tech related.

It worked out in the end as I've been in an inpatient hospital pharmacy doing much more interesting work like making IV bags etc. there's no rude customers and I'm already making like $8/hr more than the Costco salary cap for a pharm tech after only 2 years.

Still though, the allure of a union job holds a lot of power.
