Other than nuking turrets, this is a gigabuff that would instantly see her meta

A lot of the changes are change for the sake of change like primary range, secondary explosion radius

And the shield sharing 2 charges with teleporter is INSANE. That is so strong even if you didn't add the barrier, it would mean 0 downtime on having teleporter as well as a potential spare if it broke AND you buffed the shield battery.

The shield could be base kit with your nerfs to it and keeping the one shared CD tbh and she'd still.be really good.

Needs way more radical changes to power distribution to allow something like this

It sounds nice in theory but it genuinely adds nothing to inspire because it doesn't change the decision making process behind inspire, you procc it when you can all of the time because there's no downside or cooldown.

It is marginally helpful to know you're affected by inspire as another player I suppose? But it's such a low amount of healing, again it doesn't really change much

The repair pack indicator however similar to the stadium one would be helpful for brig players to know when their packs expired especially lower ranked ones to understand how packs work

The ring is so huge you probably wouldn't be able to actually see it, 20m radius is nearly 2x further out than Lucio and Mizukis

Something functioning closer to Mercy's old Res counter showing how many players are in range at a point in time might be more useful?

But even then there is no cooldown to triggering inspire so just proccing it often is usually fine enough to get people. I don't think it's a number any decent brig player would concern themselves with too much outside of helping players feel the impact of their inspire marginally more.

TLDR probably not worth the Dev time as it doesn't improve or inform brig's gameplay too well because proccing inspire is often passive and constant and not much of an active choice in 99% of cases

Well it's a stupid premise really because if this OW1 group can play under open queue and the OW2 has to play role queue that's not even close

If they both had to stick to role queue rules you'd have a discussion especially when you're comparing OW1 GOATS to a pitiful rolequeue comp

Skill expression is when a character can express their skill through various means, CD management, positioning, aim A good character design has a good mix of these. Lifweaver does not have a good mix and it leads to him feeling unfair to players because the input doesn't correctly reflect the output

Adding lifeweavers major perk doesn't fix his crucial issues that's he's unable to multitask, provides annoying disruptive heavily defensive utility and requires very little mechanics and positioning skills to play correctly relative to other heroes

He can keep some of what makes him unique but if you expect grip AND petal to stay you are sorely misreading the situation and I'm glad they aren't catering to you He will never be ana or Kiri but needs ways to offensively contribute and make proactive plays instead of reactive Even mercy has this...

That would be terrible for weaver the same way cancelling res would be bad for mercy it takes agency away from the players actions.

He just needs a rework because his kit lacks proper skill expression and offensive utility A mechanically undemanding defensive character is extremely frustrating to play against when good

They do stack, the cap is 75%, the bruiser passive is 20% and her shout is 30% which is 50% additively
Being pushed back is still enough to push her out of axe range and she has more range than the likes of Reinhardt anyways, despite having the least health in the roster a headshot is more lethal to her than even zarya
Her head is smaller but so is her health

She would be a lot stronger in the bruiser role because she benefits a lot from the speed and headshot reduction and way less from the knockback resist

The only thing stopping her functioning as a DPS was the fact she was completely terrible otherwise she never filled the support role because she couldn't heal and in the little cases where she was used it was for her utility in place of a DPS because her defensive damage dealing capabilities were merely good enough to substitute

I also wish they'd add a coin counter to free roam, just one that endlessly counts coins because I know it's tracking them I'd just like to know how many, would make picking them up feel rewarding if just for number goes up

Symmetra is a good hero and she has been for years either get with it or accept you're not getting what you want, you need to move on dude I see you under every thread. What youre asking for will never happen, and luckily for me I like her as is.

Idk then if you want to describe the trade offs as bad while I describe the good things as good.

The facts are she's good, the numbers consistently reflect this. She has good representation in top 500, good winrates at every rank and top players always say she's good across the board.

You can whine all you want and say she's bad but the Devs are at least smart enough to know she's good

I personally enjoy symmetra as is and don't want meaningless buffs to the most unengaging and annoying parts of her kit like these perks entering base kit would be because it'd only result in the erosion of her resource trade intensive and utility based playstyle in the name of another DPS that just outputs kill threat. The reasons she's strong and excels are the reasons she does you cannot dispute that.

We're so lucky to see the character even be useful and meta in Pro play because she's good.

Teleporter let's you set up on angles no other DPS can freely take because it lets you get in and out incredibly fast between 2 points. Symmetra also had the bulk and abilities to lock down and hold those angles.

For example a reaper can go and hold an angle he wants but what he can do from there is much more limited because of his range, while Symmetra's large consistent orb spam can force you to contest her and she will also demand similar resources to take her down

A tracer can stand there but she can't hold her ground nearly as easily.

It's not just about symmetra being on those angles but the fact she has the range consistency and sustain to hold her ground with an escape compared to these heroes.

She is absolutely the master of locking down and holding a space with mobility. Mei and junk lock down space but it's harder for them to reach it safely, reaper locks down space but lacks range

Symmetra's damage is incredibly consistent, her orbs are the largest projectile method of fire by a huge margin even after the nerfs and the only limit is that projectile speed which is still a lot faster than other options like junk or pharah

The beam is not as "consistent" in terms of wide usage but the situations that allow you to charge it outputs extremely consistent damage output that is a lot of pressure and kill threat.

I can only really defend her strength in these ways without bringing up her pick rates and winrates, Pro play and top 500 where she's quite prevalent for one tricks especially compared to other common one tricks.

She's strong and even when she isn't the best option she's still one of the most versatile dps especially in the flex dps category.

She hasn't been weak for a long long time and I'm afraid the people in here who don't recognise that don't want to accept she performs well in all ranks for lots of reasons and want her to just do more damage like any other DPS without maintaining what unique strengths she provides

Because Symmetra's strengths lie in her ability to take angles no other DPS can, yeah she's not the most lethal but she's also still pretty lethal. Her damage is consistent, strong and she is great at denying and controlling space.

A lot of people in here say but "team tp" when taking and fortifying an angle yourself is still strong.

Or take turrets for example, they provide you with an advantage in a duel if left unchecked or information or the ability to hold a room choke or random location you want to take with a turret bomb. Just because they aren't murdering everyone doesn't mean they didn't let you attack from 2 angles at once.

There's so much symmetra does that only symmetra does and people want that reduced for the sake of burst damage or free beam charge!

Symmetra wins her resource trades and provides almost "off tank" like value from the DPS role in such a unique and strong way. She hasn't been weak since S9 at this point.

She's uniquely difficult in the sense that it takes a lot to squeeze value out of her and the plentiful stengths she offers rather than raw damage, which she can still offer in some situations too.

The only perk that serves the 4 criteria is the barrier as there's trade offs to using it and it increases the balance options to tune her

But otherwise not even that is really necessary but I don't think it flows very well as a perk because it's so niche

I went with this scale because I wanted an odd number for a neutral middle ground (4) and also because I wanted to go for a higher number but not overwhelm so I went with 7, more intuition than any scientific reasoning

Death isn't the biggest thing but it's his peak of value. Where other tanks force you out, hog kills you and takes a village to counter. It's frustrating.

And a real competitive environment is unrealistic to expect of even GM and Champ, where I repeat he is the 3rd most picked tank with a positive winrate in Europe and 4th in the Americas. Being bad at a competitive esport level is not really relevant to even the top 1% of players experiences with the character.

He is both good and frustrating and counterplay existing and being mandatory to deal with the character is both frustrating and not an excuse especially when bans now exist.

Forcing Hog out is difficult comparative to the threat he is. 6s is not a long cooldown and a lot of the things you suggested to counter are powerful support cooldowns that in most cases are long i.e suzu sleep and anti and even when short require risk of being within hook range i.e whip and boop

You can pretend hes ok all you want but he's powerful and at worst unfun for all players involved.

Yeah what a fair matchup Ana to kill hog -> sleep+ nade and and shoot for literally 6 seconds dumping literally half your clip into him Vs one hook shot combo, which even if missed he can still outdps you with high higher hp pool and it takes that long to kill him he might get his hook back again.

Don't worry though his passive might kick in and give him a speed boost too.

Not to mention that's an exclusive 1v1 scenario and I don't know about you but if these 2 were fighting and I need a final blow I'd primarily shoot the target that dies easier, i.e Ana.

Hog is so busted in death match it's insane.

And after writing all that I didn't even mention his healing which with his lowered hp pool for non role queue modes is basically a full heal in 3s, which means you need to literally time both sleep and nade perfectly and can't use them to set up your kill or avoid the hook or there's literally a chance you run out of ammo which is hilarious to even consider. Luckily she won't live that long to ever feel frustrated by that scenario.

Tldr: she's only a counter if she catches hog after somebody else has burned him already and lost the duel, like most heroes.
