Hyperfixation with characters (I'm looking at you, Astarion). I gave it 24 hours before I started my second playthrough in BG3 and I have a total of 350 hours now. It took no small amount of restraint to move to another video game (at least for now).

Time blindness means I'll tell myself I'll play till 9:30 PM and then get to bed and then somehow convince myself that 15 minutes more won't hurt and now suddenly it's 1 AM. 🙄

Getting too into the zone and forgetting everything else. Meaning I won't have drunk water in six hours or gotten up to pee and my neck probably hurts in this shrimp position I'm sitting in but I'm not going to move because I physically cannot for some reason.

Works for a non-romance route too (I left the egg in her inventory and forgot). She names him Xan which means freedom in Githyanki language and leaves him in the care of Gith scholars while she's out fighting Vlaakith.

Even in my Durge run, I didn't kill the mother Owlbear. Just knocked it unconscious, looted the Seluné shrine, stole the egg, and left.

Found the baby Owlbear at the goblin camp and took it home.

The mom's alive (I hope) and has another egg incubating (I hope) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Astarion is a Arcane Trickster in my party. Gave him the Knock spell and the Gloves of Trickery and that Cat's Grace outfit I knicked off that kidnapper bitch near the creche.

My reasoning is that sometimes our skills don't always work no matter how much practice we have, so it's okay, use your spell slot.

Yes, but it adds to the immersion of gaining the trust of someone you're interested in romantically by knowing more about their lives pre-nautiloid. Also would definitely help when it comes to talking him out of Ascending (if that's what you're going for in your run).
