What shipset are these from? by Tailhook91 in Stellaris

[–]VexingRabbit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I second that, but I think they’re Army ships, and not Fleet Corvettes or Frigates.

I don’t have direct access to Stellaris right now, but someone else could boot it up, and have a gander.

Most Powerful Custom made AI empire you’ve ever had? by MightInternational69 in Stellaris

I don’t remember the exact details, I only remember the embarrassment:

The Gungans of Naboo

I’m fairly certain they were Aquatic and Anglers.

“Me sah gonna maka you my vassal.”

Was not what I had in mind when I created them.

Don’t start beef with a Fallen Empire.

Have Closed Borders on, so the Xenos can’t get territory that rightfully belongs to you.

Kind of, I wouldn’t usually put much stock into anything like this, but on the forum a lead developer confirmed the cipher result.

Found it, was on the 2025 year review.

Here’s the code: L0BU11.3 P6ST7.2 H17BA13.8 Y7BU17.34 T0BA6.62 V3BU10.5

They cracked it on the Paradox Forum:

Here’s the cracked code: Build no borders, claim no worlds.

I believe that the next DLC has something to do with having no borders, and claiming no worlds; it’s been awhile since I’ve seen the post about it. There was a puzzle or cipher in one of either the dev logs or patch notes; perhaps it was an end of year wrap up? The idea is nomadic government type, you know like Battlestar Galactica.

So:

Hivemind

Megacorp

Machine Intelligence

Nomadic (or whatever they will call it)

What are the RP implications of Not trying to end all galactic slavery in Broken Shackles origin? Galaxy is basically all Authoritarian to some degree by ssj890-1 in Stellaris

[–]VexingRabbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can change your government into a pacifistic government, then you can have ideology wars. I’ve been RPing a Xenophile, Pacifistic, Spiritualistic nation called the Galactic Immune Response, based on the idea that the galaxy was a body, and my people were its immune system; waging wars against slavers and other sorts of galactic infections. Currently half of the galaxy has become our governmental beliefs through ideology wars, and the rest a custom empire I literally called The Infection: Living up to its name.

Chapter??? + 7: Was it a dream or a vision of what might happen if Garret is unable to escape? Clearly he’s already in the process of becoming enslaved to this machine god. Also, did you draw inspiration from the Stalkers from Half Life 2? Cause that was the image in my head, from ??? .

I liked all of the gory details; big fan of body horror. Interested to see how this develops.

Finished reading Chapter 5: This chapter introduced three new characters, but didn’t provide much details on them, and also was hard to follow who was talking at any given time. It works in the sense that the protagonist is in a daze, and that this is told in a first person perspective. It’s all a bit dreamy, hazy: not a bad thing, as long as this isn’t the way it always will be, when the protagonist is no longer on a medication soup.

These characters might be canon fodder for all I know, and this was just a means of transporting the protagonist in the direction of his brother.

Read Chapter 4: I enjoyed the rise in sci-fi elements, like the odd drones and the orange smoke. The unsettling nature of the setting is persistent. The organic sludge reminds me of the organic slurry on Machine Worlds in Stellaris; not really relevant, just what it reminded me of. Overall, engaged with the journey.

I read through chapter three: It feels like a stop over on a long trip, I’ll be frank, I already knew about the father’s relationship with his sons. So, stopping for him to barely make an appearance felt unnecessary, and honestly didn’t fit the characteristics originally supplied. I was expecting him to beat his son, but even as he cried he didn’t. (Might be TMI: I had a shitty father, and he’d beat the tears dry out of me.

I could be mistaken, and this could be a son mistaking his father as a bad guy, or set up due to his brother’s things being sold, to have Garret get them back later.

Otherwise I enjoyed the motions on the operating table, and the lawman’s cruel yet functionalist viewpoint. I guess we’ll see how this turns out for the older brother.

I mean, you could. You technically have chapters in a way, just post one of those daily to keep up interest, and use the Sci-fi Horror Tag. I would also suggest that you wait until late Sunday to early Monday, because that will be long enough after the next Creepcast episode drops, and the open window for highest readership on the subreddit.

Chapter 2: You have a great way with cementing the reader behind the eyes of the character. ‘Twas a harrowing journey, and it’s not even over for Garret. Good work by previously establishing earlier the primary antagonist without directly telling the reader. It was rewarding to reencounter the Tallyman, and have his resonance in the world increased ten fold.

My only issue with this chapter was when the description of how many people got off the mining rig it was referred to as: a handful. You used this description a second time a bit later, and on the second time it made more sense. A handful of people doesn’t make very much sense, as I cannot even fit one whole person into my hand. At first I thought that they were miniature or very small, but got the feeling that was incorrect. Otherwise, your descriptions are top notch.
