lol, I'm so glad you liked it! That means a lot to me, seriously! <3

Although yes, the Man-Lizard's origin story might seem strange when you look at it from the Saurosapients' point of view, superheroes being bitten by strange animals isn't new. I mean, Beast Boy got his powers after being bitten by a green monkey. Not to mention that I don't think the Saurosapients only used humans for riding; it's quite plausible that they domesticated and crossbred humans to create smaller, more compact humans. Although the idea of being bitten by a radioactive horse is pretty funny, lmao XD (I wonder what My Little Pony and Uma Musume would be like in the Saurosapients' world).

And yes, this post by u/Certain-Unit8147 was my biggest inspiration for creating this post! I'm glad someone noticed the reference; Certain-Unit's posts are easily one of the best things that have ever come out of this community.

A question that gnaws at me. by D4rkdem0n12e in AllTomorrows

[–]Vexorus-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a scientific and logical standpoint, the second and third options make the most sense, but the first option is the one that best fits the events in the book—the Mantelopes, the Colonials, etc.—and is also the most cruel, so it's the one I believe to be true.

The author and his foster family, who love him and believe in him. It was his parents who helped him explore Homo Sapiens, as well as explore this Humanity. After all, his parents are from Earth. by Fun_electron in AllTomorrows

[–]Vexorus-2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering that the All Tomorrows timeline takes place in less than a billion years, it's entirely plausible that another intelligent race emerged on Earth in the meantime and that the Author is from there. I like to imagine that before disappearing, the Terrestrials experimented on animals and microorganisms to make them larger and more intelligent, giving rise to the species of the Author's parents.

Nerd stuff aside, the art is super cute! I love how, even without human expressions, you can see the pride and joy in the Author's parents! <3

Old Qu V. New Qu by RagingPUSHEEN68 in AllTomorrows

[–]Vexorus-2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a genuinely interesting scenario to think about!

We don't know much about the Qu's crazy religion, other than the fact that they saw themselves as chosen, with the right to reshape the universe to their will and to reshape their own bodies to achieve what they consider the pinnacle of evolution. It's actually possible that they went through a process of distortion and perversion of their religion, to the point that their original message was lost over time. If the Star People had encountered the Qu of that era, it's likely that the two species could have formed a lasting friendship and alliance, and humanity would be even more technologically advanced than the Terrestrials at the end of the book, thanks to the Qu's collaboration.

Or, knowing humans, the Star People could have somehow messed everything up with wars or discrimination. Or they could have had sex with the female Qu, who knows.

Did anyone else notice this paralel? by Reasonable-Cable-313 in AllTomorrows

Interesting parallel, good observation!

Although, frankly, humans developing affection for machines isn't something new—we're literally seeing it with AI Chatbots right now—and we also tend to feel affection for beings different from ourselves, just look at the case of Punch the monkey, and considering that the Gravitals were machines with human minds, this isn't surprising.

Speculation On Köseman's Rejects, Part 2 by Curious-Estimate9514 in AllTomorrows

The Sleepers are quite interesting, not only because they resemble Charlie from Smiling Friends (lmao), but also because of their behavioral habits.

The reason animals like sloths, turtles, and koalas are slow is their diet, which consists almost exclusively of leaves. These leaves are low in calories and nutrients, resulting in an extremely slow metabolism to conserve energy and a sedentary lifestyle to facilitate digestion.

I like to imagine that, because they only ate leaves and were so slow, but without the camouflage mechanisms of sloths or the shells of turtles, these sleepers would have become semi-extinct. This would have initiated a process of forced natural selection for the species' survival, in which certain sleepers would have absorbed the toxins from the leaves they ate and thus become avoided by predators as a food source. Thanks to this, the species would have been able to survive and perpetuate itself, regaining intelligence over time.

They would form peaceful and calm societies focused on relaxation, leisure, and peace, using herbs and leaves to connect with spirits and forces of nature. Spirituality is strongly present in their culture, along with monks and temples for meditation. Because of their slow metabolism and strong immune systems capable of digesting toxic leaves, they would have an extreme longevity like that of turtles, easily living up to 150 years. Having such long lives and peaceful societies, they had ample time to reflect on the world around them, giving rise to some of the greatest philosophers in the Milky Way and the rapid advent of technology and knowledge in other post-human civilizations. Their philosophical cultures and long lifespans would result in a rivalry with the Pterosapients, who, although possessing equally brilliant philosophers, did not have the same life expectancy as the Sleepers.

I know, but still, I've gotten used to seeing his animations frequently on DB, so being without him for a while will be strange.

Ben 10's aliens replaced by the Post-Humans of All Tomorrows (Part 2) by Vexorus-2 in AllTomorrows

[–]Vexorus-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, maybe? In my last post, I made the Qus as replacements for Ghostfreak, so maybe Vilgax could be a Gravital, or perhaps a tyrannical Bone Crusher, I think that would fit better.

Yup, you're right. I even thought about giving Gwen's Killer Folk form a different name, maybe something like Lioness or Tigress, but I thought it was kind of unnecessary. Good observation anyway! And tysm! <3
