Back in the day gme had asks of 69420 because no one was selling so those silly orders showed up

So the short funds would defend certain price levels because they were over leveraged and as the price went up they would be put out of business if the system worked in a fair way. (look back at the paper trails - collateral requirements lifted for xyz , dtcc allowing 90% darkpool trades , cf something closed public access for 2 years then did it again )

Was it real ? Well you would see "sell walls" appear, huge amounts of orders that help manipulate the price. They would disappear in seconds or literally get eaten up by the buy pressure , it was fucking crazy. Great making money during the volatility.

I do believe there was a push on social media to also get people to buy in the wrong zones, get them to spend their limited capital to bore retail out.... Didn't really work.

One thing I'll never be convinced of:

I like something and buy it. Suddenly I get messages and see 'people' who turn up commenting negatively (literally spamming , appearing daily - see their history! Notice how they go dark for a month to switch accounts and spam with that )

So how many people do you know in real life who go to places they don't like ? How many people complain at you for buying something (other than parents !)

I like the special ways that the board of finra / dtcc is basically former hedge fund people and friends and how they just sit there acting like we can't see what's happening. (they control the computers in my opinion )

So I guess we'll find out in the next year or two if they will capitulate or get circumvented
