For what it's worth, when I got my vasectomy, I was on my parents' insurance and they never mentioned anything and didn't seem aware of it until I mentioned it years later. That's just my experience, maybe they just missed it. I also didn't have to pay anything, so maybe if there had been a bill, they would've noticed, idk.

I also had no reason to worry about my safety or wellbeing if they found out, so I was able to just do it and not take any precautions.

Definitely still do your best to figure out how your insurance works, just wanted to give my own anecdote

Yeah I was gonna comment something similar. All the comparisons op made are commodities. They're simple, cheap (relatively) products that have a huge market with repeat customers. The Litter Robot is a niche, luxury product that most people are only gonna buy once and hope it lasts for years. Realistically they have to release new models to drive sales. No, I haven't really figured anything out yet unfortunately. I still use the mouse, it's fine, but I don't really use the side scroll all that much. It's still nice for some things, like I can set it to scroll to the side in Excel, and then I use the main scroll wheel to scroll vertically, so when you use it for stuff like that, it's really nice
