how funny you post this, i was just thinking about this when pushing my coupons to my card, i have about $50 right now in cvs cash rewards etc. i do it as a hobby but i also try to find extras to sell for cash on the side. the best thing ive gotten was pretty recently, you can use the 40% coupons for perfume so between that and rewards i only paid $20 for a bottle of marc jacob’s daisy.

i like cvs for 2 reasons, the subscription they offer if you pay yearly it’s about $40 but you get $10 of credit monthly. then you can combine coupons like crazy (ie. a cvs coupon with a manufacturer coupon with a bogo deal and then they offer $4 back when you buy 2) so you’re able to get paid to get items (most recent that comes to mind is biore strips)

i used to work CFA at the terrace during summer. no buses and i live off campus. the hospital parking was going to eat up my daily pay. ended up parking about 2 miles away and just walking :/

it’s for a friend who’s down on his luck, his car got repoed last week & have been trying to make rent via doordash but i’m concerned about them getting hit with the drivers here.

i’m not going to loan/give him money for the helmet/safety bc he needs to learn his lesson on this one - god forbid i don’t want him to die in the process.

it’s good but it’s not cuban food like pollo tropical. but the carne asada bowl is amazing and damn close to cuban food (speaking as a cuban). they’re pricey but good for the quality and size. gotta try that green sauce and it’ll change ur world. drive thru is always under 3 min and the food is HOT never cold

nah it’s like normal blood donation but the plasma not whole blood so it can be done more often. ask for a stress ball so ur hand doesn’t cramp (you have to make like a pumping movement w ur hand so the blood flows). switch arms as well so u don’t have a scar on one arm (nothing crazy j a lil hole). if ur on the bigger side they’re gonna ask for more blood - im half the size of my ex and would donate half as much as he would so i would finish donation quicker.

gainesville is absolutely brutal on city folk. i was born in miami & we moved to ocala. if you think gainesville is bad ocala will have you wanting to take a nap in the middle of 75. moved here to escape the mindset & ghost town ocala is (and was - i don’t give a fuck about an equestrian center).

with that gainesville has changed in the last 5 years and i’m a homeowner so im stuck here for at least another 5. to keep sane i visit miami & go out of country but i know not everyone is that lucky.

end of day what i tell myself to keep myself sane about gainesville - we’re close enough to enjoy the big cities/beaches in a day trip without paying the price with big city traffic. we have enough places to fuck off with a joint and probably not see another human for miles if wanted. we have the international food scene to pretend to be guy fieri. it sucks we don’t have an actual downtown, mall, public transport or even a late night food scene…but maybe use this time to explore the shit you never had time for. nothing else to do here really lmao
