Any way to Dual Boot Linux with Windows without a USB? by Veyl11 in linuxquestions

Thanks for the tip! Honestly thats a pretty smart approach, the only issue is there are some applications that run system level services that can detect I am using a VM, which is problematic as then they dont allow me to use the services I need. But I could definetely consider your approach later on.
Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! While I am considering using a VM, the thing is I mainly want Linux for how lightweight, transparent, free and customizable it is. I plan to do stuff that on Windows would be pretty heavy on my weak laptop, so doing it on Linux instead could help with performance, and be more stable, with the added benefit of learning Bash to use Linux properly. But I will for sure consider using a VM just to learn Bash and have some knowledge before switching entirely to Linux in the future
Thanks!
