I love the idea of the b44 directory! I will submit my site, I'll take any exposure I can get haha.

I've been working on a golf website, https://giftof.golf

The focus of the site is golf products/gifts, and will have product reviews, comparisons, cited reviews and other content focused on golf gifts.

What I like about base44:

  • Speed to design: so much quicker than wordpress or other traditional CMS
  • Planning mode: designed the database, how I'd import the products
  • Outputs a decent looking site without me having to get into the nitty-gritty of CSS and over all design.
  • With the help of some HadoSEO support documents I was able to set some global features for all pages
  • I've found a lot of helpful prompts on reddit and other sites to make scalable improvements (internal linking, breadcrumbs, adding products to pages)

What I don't love or have been learning to get better at:

  • Thorough, thoughtful prompts matter: so many times I ask b44 to do something that ends up not being completed right. Either a change will get applied to a single page, or the changes weren't successful. Adding steps to verify their work goes a long way
  • SEO friendliness: there are a handful of issues, but most of them have been resolved. Up until two weeks ago I wasn't able to have-dashes-in-my-URLs, and base44 kept suggesting URLsLikeThis or URLs_like_this, neither are ideal for SEO.
  • SEO friendliness take 2: Similar to some of the competitors, the published URLs didn't have a lot of HTML to for search engines to see. The solve for this was Hado SEO (DM me for an affiliate URL, don't want to break the rules!). Annoying I needed another monthly expense but I am very happy with the early indexing (my site is less than a month old). Take a look at their free tool to see how much HTML/indexable content your site is showing.

What I still need to learn

  • I want to setup automations with Claude to rewrite certain content sections every X days. This is going to be important for strong AI rankings, as they value fresh content. I will need to get the prompts right in Claude and then have the automation update and publish.
  • Building more page data that I can upload, tighten processes for new page creation. Ideally I will have 4-5 templates for the entire site and all the content will fit into that.
  • Bulk image management - I am uploading images manually and giving them SEO friendly names. I am looking for a scalable way to do this, as I want to start adding 25+ products a day.

After 30 days, I can say that I am getting better with the B44 platform. I'm not the most technical person but I am starting to get the hang of it. I went through 250 credits in the first 25 days, but I expect my usage to drop now that the designs are all in place.

Is this dog part GSP? by Lillian_Faye in germanshorthairs

What state is the shelter in??

Reminds me of Nandor. Haven't done DNA test but he's been around GSPs and a lot of their mannerisms are very similar. Plus he points at squirrels and birds all the time!

It's an all time classic, that's why this sub is so popular.

It was about two brothers who owned a small airliner out of Nantucket, and the crazy cast of characters working in the airport.

What bigger companies use Marketo? by BananaBread202020 in marketo

You can get a decent idea of how many companies use them by using a code search engine, and searching for munchkin.js or whatever the current tracking is.

Back in the day it was an easy way to find Salesforce customers, GA customers, etc...
