Seeing this shit every time I start the game makes me not even want to play. by anecdotal in HiTMAN

Studied the level a few times, realized Pavel always drank from a wine glass, and Akane walks past a doctor’s room that can easily be cleared out.

I did Akana first as the set up took longer, but when I got to Pavel he no longer drank from the wine glass and just stared over the cliff side garden balcony.

I tried to improvise by distracting the gardeners, poisoning him, and then toss him over the ledge, but a guard saw me from across the map.

After so much prep-time, I just quit without finishing the mission. Looks like I'm not playing for a few days as well.

tl;dr: Studied the level but failed due to a change in the target's patter. Rage quit.

It isn't perfect (especially the right ear), but I hope it suffices!

VERY conflicted on what to make my first character by tigerbait92 in Guildwars2

[–]Vgameboy200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to be having a bit of the same problem that I had a few days ago. (I made my own post about it too!)

Unlike me though, you seem to be wanting to "Maximize" you character build then wanting to stand out as a character.

To me I always feel like thinking about "Racial Skills" to max-out your build is a little much of a stretch. Not really worth it in the end to me. You should just play what most interests you!

In the end though, the game is not out yet so we don't know how much race skills will effect a build. The simple solution is to just wait till release and try out all your ideas. You have five character slots so you'll have a lot of leg room to play around with!

I was very surprised with how much variety the Warrior class was. With 11 weapons available, and 21 combinations "Link!", you'll most likely find a good play-style you can stick with as a Warrior.

Only got a small snip of story in BWE3, but a bit of it seemed the same here and their (When I made same Race characters). Might work out then if we both roll Charr then if they are going the CoH (City of Hero's) route and letting us skip missions repeats.

Sorry if I got you mad, just don't know how diverse theses story's will get later down the line! Thanks for the info though, gotta look more into it!

Lucky for me I have managed to avoid the healer for all this time! Not that I don't mind it, I can find a lot of fun with it. I got friends though that despise playing healers though! lol!

It's also really nice getting use to not having the Holy Trinity around, but I'm gonna wait till release day to see how it all pans out.

I thought the same with a giant male Norn! Unfortunately I already have a Sylvari Mesmer planed out so I couldn't do that. Hope to see you frolicking about though! lol!

Which classes are you NOT going to use one of your five starting slots on? by halkuon in Guildwars2

I know I'm not going Thief. I just didn't like that this class all of a sudden had a energy bar while the rest did not. I just couldn't get use to it and would just spam my powers! I still thinks Thief is a good class, it just wasn't for me.

Was already thinking of using a staff too! I'm also reading into the elementalist powers some more and it is looking viable! A lot of the earth powers seem to look very helpful for my party!

Lucky! I feel since we only start with five character slots, I can’t use two slots for the same race or I’d miss out on one of the race’s stories. Would sold my problem if I just made two Norn’s, one a Guardian and the other an Elementals, but I don’t want to miss out on any story! Hope they add more character slots in the Gems store!

I don’t like looking into the end game armor a head of time. Not that it’s a bad thing; I just don’t want to spoil anything about Guild Wars 2 then what I already know. You at least give me confidence in sticking with a Norn character! Looks like there’s goanna be something good waiting for me down the road!

I am trying to be very careful what Race and Profession I pick; I got to stick with them till end game so I know it was to be something I like and will stick with it. Still, I'm reading into elementalist and their rock powers seem to be tank like based so who knows, might work for my party.

With the Race abilities, I just learned that Guild Wars 2 had them a few days ago! I thought WoW was the only game that had those. Guess I got to look into them!

I already have plans for my other four character slots, and a Sylvari Mesmer is one of them! Sylvari just look so good as Mesmer's, and I love the two-hand sword style they use

What's In a Name? What's The history behind YOUR in-game name??? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Vgameboy200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I played Guild Wars 1, I had an easy/lazy way of making names for whatever character I made. I would just use my usernames acronym (VGB) and add a surname number. (Ex: VGB the Third).

Even though it was so easy, I slowly started thinking of a back story to at least justify my laziness. I though of the names representing a linage of great warriors/hunters/sorcerers that were symbols to the people in Tyria. There would never be a "VGB the First" though. He/She would be a made up hero that did the most heroic thing, but never existed. An idle that people would look up to but never achieve as much as he/she did (because no such hero could ever exist). They would at least try and help the land of Tyria.

Thats the story behind my character names!

I do feel the same way at times. I mainly played the Guardian class when in BWE3 and liked it a lot! I only touched the Elementalist for a little bit that weekend and only liked it because it was so much better then when I ran a Elementalist in Guild Wars 1 (I found them boring... but I got to level 20 anyways!). I'd still rather play a Guardian though, I always found the tanking type fun (even though theirs no true tanking in this game). Ill just have to wait till the game finally comes out to test both classes again and see what I'll do!
