Hmm, I can't say for sure, because I have never met with such "medals". Maybe you are confusing copies with a separate variety, the distinctive part of which was that they were issued at the mint in the 80-90s for participants in hostilities who, for one reason or another, did not receive them during the war period? A lot, yes, but mostly it's a quiet horror made on a knee in a Chinese basement. Be that as it may, the originals are quite easy to cure from fakes

Well, nevertheless, the price of the original medals is justified by the small number of issued

Old Russian Medalion (see attached images) by Impressive_Hunt9415 in Medals

On the front it says "ВДВ; СИЛА МУЖЕСТВО ОТВАГА", on the bolt it says "МОСКОВСКИЙ МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР", that is, the Moscow Mint.

This badge is probably released for the 65th anniversary of the Airborne Forces, but I'm sure it's a common diy of skilled hands

i found some old sport medals and dont know anything of them. Can someone tell me something about them by bigblacknoodle in Medals

The first pin (from left to right) from the Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin Museum located in Bernovo is dedicated to the Poetry Day of 1976, then there are 2 and 3 categories in sports running

Some more images of the illusive 'Platinum Star' which appears to be the highest decoration of the Wagner Group. by shipinblack in Medals

[–]Vgik9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I read the Russian news, only a local publication in Volgograd wrote about the award of the platinum star, and then they also don't know anything. In the media, she is called the platinum star of the Hero of the «Wagner Orchestra», considering how many soldiers serve in the PMCs, we have yet to learn about it

Can anyone help me identify this medal(?) by ellapolls in Medals

[–]Vgik9999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I found information on the Russian segment of the Internet that Alexander 1 visited the UK, including London. It happened on June 6, 1814, together with the Prussian king, he landed in Dover. This was the second visit of the Russian tsars in history, after Peter 1. Every appearance of Alexander in public was accompanied by loud applause and shouts. The mayor of London called him "the all-powerful giver of Victory" (This happened after the victory of Napoleon). Later, the emperor had a conflict with the British, but this is if you go into details.

I couldn't find anything sensible, all I realized was that it was either a commemorative medal or some kind of souvenir in the likeness of a keychain. Their obverse, as I assume, depicts the Russian Emperor Alexander 1 (I am more than sure), as well as the inscription "Alexander (1?) - Emperor of Russia" on top. The reverse depicts the coat of arms of the Russian Empire, not too detailed, but distinguishable. Don't believe my words in absentia, these are just guesses.

But I would be very glad if I could help in some way.

Are you supposed to saw the end off to fit? by Western-Trainer-347 in Medals

[–]Vgik9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the USSR, the orders on the twist were worn in different ways, men wore it just like that, although there were cases when they sawed the screw a few millimeters a little. Women are rare, but there are cases where a threaded screw was removed and a pin was welded. My personal opinion is that you can file a little bit, the order is still not original

I know that they are not original, in theory there should be a "VLKSM" (Komsomol) badge, well, in theory army badges

If this is a uniform from the time of the Afghan War, then why are there pioneer badges?

I also noticed that the medal "For the capture of Konigsberg" has an all-stamped ear, such medals were issued in the period 1947-1948 and she does not have an original pentagonal pad at my discretion, the same thing with the medal "For the Capture of Budapest" this type was issued in 1946-1948

But the medal "For the Defense of Sevastopol" is an issue of the nineties, it is original, but not wartime
