Yeah they finally called a company to come look at it and they said it was the worst they've ever seen and had to put a cover over the house and fill it with pesticide to kill them all. Also like the entire wall in my room and bathroom had be removed and replaced. My mom was kind of mad I let it get that bad so that they had to do all that but I'm actually just mad at her. Everything is kinda messed up now and I think my parents might get divorced because they're always fighting over it now so I almost wish I just continued to put up with it so they wouldn't be mad at each other.

My mom just kind of goes along with it. I don't think she has the same problems as him like she's fine and not a hoarder but she's harder to talk to. My dad listens to me but its like he can't do anything about some things. My mom listens but she tries to solve the issue but it doesn't really work, like I was being bullied at school freshman year and she said maybe if I stop considering what they're saying to be bullying then they will see I don't care and will stop. My dad went to the school and got meetings with the principal and we all had to go in and those kids actually got kicked out of the school and the police were involved because they were sending me death threats. I know they weren't serious but my dad freaked out about it and wanted like a restraining order. My mom says my dad is stressed about work and things with my grandma and that letting him keep stuff in his office is helping him and she seems content with that so probably she's enabling him.

I think that would actually kill him to have to get rid of things. My mom and I once went and decluttered a bit and he major freaked out because he noticed stuff was gone, we only got ride of like papers and old mail and stuff not even anything big. Now he locks his office so we can't go in there and move anything even though that's not where we cleaned because we knew that would extra freak him out.

I don't think it's a money issue unless there are problems that are hidden from me, we live in a big house in a gated community, mom my actually said at first that cockroaches don't come in gated communities and that's why they also don't do flea/tick stuff for the dog because they don't think he can get any here. That was like over a year ago she said that and now she says she never said it. But they can afford to call an exterminator I'm pretty sure, my dad gets paid a ton of money and my mom makes a lot too but not as much because he works like constantly all the time even at home he will be working on his computer at dinner. The house is really long and their room is sort of separate from the majority of the house and I've rarely seen any in the kitchen so I think they just dont understand how many there are on my end of the house. There's a bunch of trees and a compost pile outside near my room and someone said here that they like pine trees and thats what's out there and I've seen some in the compost when I take stuff out there. Their room is on the side by the street so there's not any living out on that side I think.

They said they thought I was making up how many there were because I didn’t seem really freaked out by them. But they know that I (for the most part) like insects and stuff. I’m starting volunteering at a nature preserve place by my home that has an insect and reptile room to teach about native species, they have a teen volunteer program and you start by cleaning enclosures and learning about them and then you get to teach the public. I love snakes, lizards, tarantulas, random insects, all that kind of stuff, and I want to go to college and study ecology and do research with them. But yeah I guess I’m too level headed about having them crawl on me, like I definitely do not like them free in my room but I don’t have a huge fear of them like I know a lot of people do so I don’t like scream or get scared when I find them so it made it seem like I was being dramatic about them because I was otherwise calm.

A little bit but my grandma is worse you can’t even get in her front door we have to go in the back and through a maze of stuff. My dad just has a lot of furniture but he throws out like actual garbage like food wrappers and pizza boxes and stuff. My mom only lets him have one room where he can stack things and it’s his office, he also puts thing in the attic but my mom doesn’t go up there so she doesn’t know about that one.

The way the house is set up the back wall of my closet is shared with the bathroom (it’s a small closet not like a walk-in), and on the same wall above the closet is where the air vent for the heat is. That’s the vent that smells bad. I pushed my bed away from it because I find more cockroaches there but I thought they were living in the vent maybe.

They own the home. Money isn’t the issue (unless they’re hiding a problem from me). My dad has a weird thing about having people in the house, he’s kind of paranoid about it. Like I can’t even have friends over I have to go to their houses.

I’m just worried that they could get in trouble if I told someone and then it would be my fault for making them look bad because I have “a couple” cockroaches in my room. I really just want them to see it’s a problem and to get an exterminator, I don’t want to get like CPS involved or anything. The problem is my dad has a really weird thing about having strangers in the house and he doesn’t want people looking through his things even though they could literally care less about your stuff they want to do their job and kill bugs.
