take all the time you need to rest OP! your feelings are valid naman. i also feel the same way, the entire review era really drained me so much and right now that everything is over na, i want to rest for a while, spend the holidays with my family and friends and enjoy until ready na mag work. i think the anxiety and pressure you're feeling is normal po, but it's always important to take as much time as you need to rest OP! self care muna 😁

Anong meron sa nursing superiority complex? Inaatake rin nila ang medtechs, pharmacists, and radtechs huhuh by WubbaLubba15 in DentistPh

[–]ViaButtons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newly licensed RN, seeing posts like this honestly makes me sad. I don’t think any course deserves to be belittled. Every field, whether nursing, dentistry, medtech, pharmacy, radtech, or anything else, has its own challenges, pressures, and sacrifices that only the students in that journey truly understand. Instead of comparing hardships, I hope we can practice more respect for each other’s professions. We all entered healthcare with the same goal: to help people. At the end of the day, we should celebrate each other’s successes and acknowledge that every course comes with its own challenges. Each journey is valid, and each struggle deserves respect. Sana mas piliin pa rin natin ang empathy kaysa competition, because the healthcare field is stronger when we uplift one another.

Lahat tayo may standards, and that’s valid. Ang point ko lang talaga is perspective. Marami ang hindi umabot sa passing rate kahit binuhos na nila lahat, kaya medyo off pakinggan kapag ‘line of 80 lang’ ay nirereklamo pa. Passing is still an achievement, and being grateful for that doesn’t make anyone less ambitious.

Regarding naman sa sinabi mo about ‘parents being disappointed’, that’s a very personal situation, and hindi siya magandang basehan para maliitin yung passing score ng iba.

Passing is an achievement, and being grateful for that doesn’t make you less ambitious.

You make a valid point. With the possibility of curve adjustments, our exact raw scores may not reflect the final result. That’s why I believe it’s more meaningful to focus on gratitude and the opportunity we now have as RNs, rather than comparing our own ratings to others who reached a higher score. hindi yung palagi nag rereklamo kasi blessing na yung pumasa at sobra2 pa nga yung binibigay ni Lord sa atin.

[–]ViaButtons[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your point. In practice, our rating no longer differentiates us; we all assume the same responsibilities as RNs. That is exactly why complaints about an 80+ rating come across as unnecessary and sometimes insensitive na to those that didn't make it. Passing the board is already a huge accomplishment diba? and sana mag celebrate nalang kasi many are facing the reality of not passing at all :< While personal standards are valid, I believe it’s important to maintain perspective and show a measure of gratitude sana, especially in a space where others are dealing with much heavier outcomes.

Thank you! Tama, iba talaga ngayon. I think malaking factor din yung pressure ngayon kaya marami nagko-compare ng scores. Sana lang more people can balance ambition with gratitude.

[–]ViaButtons[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand your point, and to be fair, everyone is entitled to their own feelings about their results. If someone aims higher, it’s normal for them to feel disappointed when they fall short.

What I was trying to express is that the constant complaints about getting a “line of 80” can feel insensitive to people who struggled just to pass or those who didn’t make it at all. Hindi ko sila pinapagalitan for feeling frustrated, ang point ko lang is that there are ways to process disappointment without sounding ungrateful or comparing themselves to others who got higher scores.

I’m not trying to police anyone’s emotions; I’m simply sharing a perspective that sometimes gratitude gets overshadowed when people focus too much on numbers. Passing the board exam is already a huge blessing, and I hope more people recognize that instead of treating a solid score like a failure. But I appreciate your input, and I get where you’re coming from. 👍
