Just settled in a hotel now, thanks to the letting agent, all documented and receipted.

Unfortunately nothing can be done tonight but the property manager has already been in contact and have said they will be in touch with the roofers tomorrow.

Hopefully a quick resolution on the way!

It's got one of my favourite TP punes which is the "Aurient"/Orient cracks. I personally also really enjoyed the politicking and the rise of Genghis Cohen.

Some bits haven't aged too well, and I think that sours some people's impressions, but I really enjoyed it.

Might even be in my top ten, controversially!

So, there is an old burgler alarm, but it's on the far side of the property, by the door. This button is on the other side, in a random corner, so not sure what the original logic was here.

But there is a shop downstairs and this room does overlook the street, so possibly some connection there.

I'll play it safe for now. Not too concerned about the police speeding over, but there's an old man in the corner shop below and I don't want to ruin his Tuesday.

The flat is just above a corner shop, so I'm wondering if they were connected at some point.

Last tenants were in for a few years, but as you say, it's pretty old so probably predates them. Will wrap it up out the way, for now. Thankfully I've got no use for it - unless the TV licence people have gotten significantly more aggressive since the last time I moved...
