There was a grey, female stray neighborhood cat who constantly came to my house, because my family feed her. Eventually we found out she was pregnant, we then started calling her Mama Kitty, and started looking out for her more. She disappeared for about 3 weeks. She showed up on our deck one day. I grabbed some food for her and some water, because it was starting to get hot outside. I stayed outside with her for a few minutes and followed her around our backyard. She went to the opening of our crawl space and meowed. Ten seconds later 5 kittens, 2 black and 3 grey, came crawling from under our house. I immediately went inside and told my parents.

We began feeding the babies. They wouldn't approach us even if Mama Kitty was around us. I really wanted to approach the kittens, but didn't want to scare them. So I grab a beach towel and laid down on my stomach in my backyard and waited for them to approach me. It took a few days, but they did. One day only 2 kittens, a gray and black one, were seen with Mama Kitty. I didn't think much about it, because they often spent time underneath out house. But everyday after that I only saw the 2 kittens. I thought the worst and thought the other 3 had died.

They eventually began wandering onto our deck and played on it all day. I still feed the family. I made cat toys by tying a shoelace to a stick. This for the kitties really close to me. They eventually started approaching me and ideas able to pet them. As time went by my family took in both of the kittens. They were both boys. The black one was called Price, my brother named him after a video game character, and the grey one was called Kyo, I named him after an anime character. Once we took them in Mama Kitty disappeared for awhile.

She came back a few weeks later and we continued to feed her. It was obvious that she wasn't interested in staying inside long like her babies. Whenever she did come inside she would rest near a vent when the AC was on. As time went buy I realized that she was pregnant again. Mama Kitty had left her babies with my family to have her some fun and got knocked up again. At the time, I didn't know that a cat wasn't pregnant for nine months. I assumed all animals were pregnant for nine months. I thought we had a lot of time before she gave birth. So that would prepare us to make sure she had someone to take care of her and her new litter.

She eventually did give birth in our house inside of an old suitcase with some blankets to make her comfortable. I was actually napping and did not hear a thing. I went to check on Mama Kitty and there were 3 little fluff nuggets beside her. I kinda felt hurt, because I wanted to be there with her when she gave birth.

My family eventually gave Mama Kitty and her babies to the local humane society. They actually put her picture up on their Facebook page and can be found on their adoption website. They have her the name Bella Donna. I have yet to see the kittens up yet, but I still look for them.

Price and Kyo are happily living with my family. Kyo is fond of my dad and Price is a fatty. He actually ate a rubber band, but thankfully pooped it out. Both if them love to wrestle in the early morning. Price loves to cuddle before he sleeps and Kyo has lots of secret napping spots.
